Leflunomide
I am about to start on
Leflunomide
after being on Prednisolone for 11 years. I would be interested to hear how other people have got on with it. Also I understand it lowers your immune response and wonder if this is more than happens with Pred. Thanks

Leflunomide
Today my rheumy told me that as I was so unsuccessful in reducing I should change to
Leflunomide
. Does anyone know about this drug. I don’t think I’ve seen it on the forum.

so much pain.
I was on Mtx for several years & it didn’t help so I was changed to
Leflunomide
back in February & that isn’t helping. I have been waiting for a shoulder replacement all year & it has now dislocated. The surgeon is going to try to put me on his list for the op for this Thursday.

perforated septum - RArelated
Medicine wise, I had methotrexate for my RA but it made me ill and then I had a period of time nothing offered I was happy to take, then I was given steroid and hydroxychloroquine, which got me out of flare up and took away pain quite quickly, and now I have been on

Further to leflunomide and anti inflammatory diet question
An update on my short dabble with
leflunomide
. On advice from rheumie following my non compliance with methotrexate and my 'too slow' taper with prednisone, I started taking 10mg
leflunomide
. This was 7 weeks ago and the result? I have given up following high blood pressure and daily diarrhoea.

Not a flare, but RA of the hands
Her suggestion was to keep a VERY slow taper, and if it happened again to contact her and they would double my
leflunomide
to 20mg, keeping the pred. at the same dose. My normal-sized fingers are crossed that I don't have that again, it is most upsetting and unpleasant.

Leflunomide
Leflunomide
did not work for me and I spent about a year with no relief from RA. I am now on biologics, Imraldi. This is only partially working so a short course of steroids has been added. I feel so much better I am beginning to get my life back. I am hoping it continues when the steroids finish.

Leflunomide and tapering prednisolone for GCA, advice please
I am not keen to take the
Leflunomide
because it means taking another powerful drug with worrying side effects and asked to continue with a higher dose of prednisolone. He would not agree with this and has sent me a prescription for

leflunomide, infliximab and hair loss
Due to see my rheumatologist next month, I’m on infliximab because of ulcers caused by the ra in my eyes and using
leflunomide
as it needs a smart for the infliximab to work apparently and mtx was too toxic for me. Thanks in advance!

Leflunomide next drug doctor wants me to try
😭She has now prescribed
Leflunomide
( which apparently I have to get government permission for in Spain) What is this drug? Does it work with PMR ? I feel like I am just taking the next thing to appease the doctors. Any help appreciated.

I'm now into week of 7 of 10mg daily of
Leflunomide
and have decided after daily diarrhoea and increased blood pressure to give it a miss as a sparing agent and battle on myself.I'm almost down to 4.5 Pred and I know it will be a struggle but even though they are the only side affects I worry about

GCA, now PMR & Rheumatoid Arthritis as well
I am being prescribed
Leflunomide
for RA and was told to stay on 12 for the time being. Problem is I’m in a great deal of pain, upper arms, shoulders and upper back particularly and I’m wondering whether I should increase the Pred?

at a loss to know what’s what
findings would appear other than PMR but I wonder if that’s the case why do I still have all symptoms of PMR deadly fatigue, hip pain arm pain unable to dress myself at times hand & back spasms…… He suggests I reduce pred by 1 mg a month and refers back to GP for blood tests to check CRP and thinks

quick follow up after my appointment yesterday
Met with my Consultant and am now going to give
leflunomide
a go ! 10mg once a day - just keeping everything crossed it helps and I avoid the nausea I experienced on previous medication 😩 ! Was a bit concerned when he said if this doesn’t work then we’re stuck !!

Leflunomide - has anyone had success on this?
Hi I’ve just started
Leflunomide
I really hope it works for me as I’ve failed methotrexate and Sulfasalazine due to bad side effects. Has
Leflunomide
been successful for anyone else? 🙂
