I'm new
Hi there, I have had tinnitus for 34 years,I can't remember life without it.Members of my family also have T and I often wonder is it genetic? I also went to a lot of loud rock concerts in my teens,I adore music, I find that now I can't listen to music very loudly as it makes my T worse.I get very embarrassed

Bisoprol and Losarten
Hi, I'm new here. Has anyone suffered from constant buzzing in the ear, after being on these. Both are known side effects of these drugs. I'm on 2.5 mg Bisoprol and 25mg Losarten daily. Saw 2 NHS Cardiologists and both are in denial. They said it could be something to do with my ears, not the drugs.

I do get some pain like stabbing now and then

Tinnitus GONE! A chance for everyone?
I am new to this forum. Amazingly I am no longer plagued with the nightmare of tinnitus. After suffering for more than ten years it is under absolute control. Here is my story. I had read in a local newspaper of the work of Dr Cunningham of Newcastle University who had been recognised for his successful

👂Ear, Ear 👂 Yay, it's fixed!
I just wanted to give a quick update as I had so many messages of support when I had hearing loss to the one ear that I can usually hear with last Friday. I had a bit of a panic as my other ear is profoundly deaf, and I was struggling to hear at all. My GP referred me back to the fabulous ENT department

Group B Strep meningitis
Hi folks, have just found this page so this is my first post. I wanted to share our story.. My daughter was diagnosed with meningitis at 8 days old, due to group b Strep. It was something we had never heard of, despite having another child, so it was all a bit of a blur. Not knowing it was something

Fighting for the only medication that has worked for me
I tested positive for several cognitive and
learning
disabilities
but later I would test out of these issues when my attention returned. Furthermore I have tested at the average level for cognitive tests and some medical professional insist this means I do not need ADHD medication.

Worried about husband....
I'm here asking for some serious advice. I'm getting more and more worried as each day goes by and I have no-one to ask, so I've turned to this forum in the hope someone can give me some positive help. Just over a year ago, we came back from a holiday abroad and my husband noticed that he couldn't shake

Does this sound like Meniere's disease?
After the birth of my second child, I started getting really sensitive to noise. I developed an upper respiratory cold for 2 months with a chronic cough that eventually subsided. After the cold ended, my ears started ringing for brief seconds and felt like they were equalizing. I also became very sensitive

New audiology doctor
I was just called by my new referral, got to have another hearing test. I just love to be reminded of how deaf I am. Maybe I'll get my left hearing aid this time.
