Swelling Legs and foot? Again?
After being hospitalized for 10 days due to Warfarin overdose, I lost 50 lbs of fluid from my body. I am back on Elliquis, Lasix and Entresto and feeling good. I was so happy not to have the red swelling legs and feet. Suddenly, yesterday, I could feel my left leg itch, swelling in the foot, and redness

SPIRONOLACTASE ??
Hi -- I know that several of you have said you're on this medication because Lasix was not strong enough to reduce the fluid in your legs. My legs were so swollen up they developed water blisters which broke and it is such a mess. There is still so much water being forced out of the open wounds that

I consider myself lucky
I guess I am one of the lucky one's. I had all three shots, didn't feel good for a couple of days, but I have had worse. The new flu shot for senior bothered me more the Cd shots. 2 1/2 years ago I was diagnosed with A Fib. But on meds, Eliquis, heart meds. But I had a 100 pounds of fluid around me

Spironolactone Side Effects
A couple days ago there was a discussion about severe leg swelling due to heart failure. Several of you mentioned better results with Spironolactone than you had with Lasix. I plan to talk to my Dr about it. But can those of you using Spironolactone please let me know about any side effects or problems

Success with IOPs of 6-8 with a trabeculectomy?
I have have normal tension glaucoma brought about from
Lasik
surgery which gave me very thin corneas. Though my IOPs range from 10-15, I would need an IOP as low as possible, however, I am frightened of severe hypotony.

Swollen legs and feet
My feet and legs are swollen, just started on Lasix a week ago and they are getting better. My question is for others who suffer from this. Does it hurt? My shin is hurting, also ankles and the part of foot that is between toes and top of foot.

Kidney pain for months
Hi everyone, I have been dealing with bilateral kidney pain for seven months now and am in desperate need for help/advice. From June 2020 to February 2021 I had six UTI's all treated with cranberry juice and lots of water. Did feel occasional twinges in the left kidney after the fifth one but mostly

Good Results in MRi
Good morning everyone. I haven't posted in the past few weeks. As some of you know, Jimmy had decided to discontinue treatment. Well when we saw oncologist last, he talked him into giving Lenvima another try at lower dose. So we started it again. The first time he took it he got sores in his mouth and

My Jeff home from hospital
Ever wonder what fluid around the lungs looks like?! This is it! Jeff successfully had the fluid drained. I wanted the doctor to put the amount of fluid drained into perspective for me. I questioned if it was a lot. The doctor responded, “well, it’s not good”. That didn’t satisfy me, so I pressed

Small update on my Jeff
Since the Zytiga/Prednisone can potentially make Jeff sick, while he’s in the hospital, they have suspended his cancer treatment. Currently, it’ll be at least Tuesday for discharge. Once he resumes the medication however, his oncologist authorized taking the Zytiga at night and the Prednisone in the

Soft tissue massage and relief, relief, relief!!!
I noticed yesterday afternoon my left Tubi-grip on my leg was wet. My leg was leaking a clear liquid...no open sore, just coming through the tissue. In the morning my sheets were wet and I could see drops on my lower leg in a few places...even with my eyes. I called my primary care and his nurse wrote

The White liquid for CtScan , is it safe on the kidney's?
They gave her intravenous
Lasik
. How dangerous are all the Ct Scans they are now doing? They claim the pathologist found some type of cancer cell in the water drained. They also do not believe she is a diabetic because she not on a blood sugar med.

Trouble with Medication Tirosint
I’ve had a thyroidectomy since 2014 started on 50mg. Then eventually had to adjust dose up to Tirosint 125mg over 7 years. My Endocrinlogist is scratching her head for 4 years I was balanced. My freeT3 and freeT4 were both in normal. During covid I could not do “In Person” visits so my labs didn’t get

After the BCR and the ADT vacation – All the tests results are in – it's curtain time - what comes next – what to do next ?
A quick background review … Started out as 'I can't pee ! - a TOTAL urinary blockage. Dateline March break- 2017. Spent 4 months in and out of emergency wards with out of control UTI's, a catheter for 4 months (which I was taking care of with NO CLUE as to how to manage it) and no urologist or

Several variables and unknowns~
Almost 4 weeks ago, my rheumatologist started me back on Actemra weekly. I felt better without it, but he feels I need it as we will start tapering down from 12mg prednisolone, which I'm sure my body will appreciate (I hope). The same week I started the Actemra, my GP had also had me try just 20 mg
