Salpingectomy / Hydrosalpinx?
I (23F) had a
laparoscopy
2 years ago where they found out I had a blocked fallopian tube. The pain in that side has been getting worse ever since then, and recently found out it was a large hydrosalpinx.

prostap injections
Hi all, I had my first prostap injection 6 weeks ago and my second injection two weeks ago to help with pain - I’m 33 and my consultant is reluctant to do another lap yet and won’t discuss a hysterectomy until this course of prostap is completed. Initially it felt like the pain was minimising (maybe

pain deep in vagina after peeing
Had my first
laparoscopy
at 21, another at 24, which seem to really help my symptoms a lot. I was on the pill for years until 28 when I decided to come off it and I have been fine since… Until now!

PMS progressively worse
Hello! I have endometriosis and adenomyosis, and am awaiting my 3rd treatment lap. I am 40 and had 27 years of periods and have noticed my PMS getting really bad. Anxiety, irritability, depression, pain, hopelessness etc, are getting unmanageable: I partly put it down to the fact that I know “what

Weekly Catch Up, 31st July - 4th Aug
Well good morning everyone, July nearly gone and lets welcome August!! (would like less rain please!) 🤞 Hey, guess what, I’ve been given the conch for this week (if you’ve read Lord of the Flies or seen the film– you’ll know exactly what I mean. If you haven’t read it, go, and find a copy or watch

Return of endometriosis during menopause?
Hello, I had a
laparoscopy
back in 2014 for endometriosis after suffering symptoms for most of my adult life. I am now 52 and going throught the menopause. I am on oestrogen patches and take Utrogestan tablets for half of the month as I still have my womb and ovaries.

Advice needed
I had my
laparoscopy
in July and was back again in hospital with chronic pain due to cysts in September. Was told my the doctors then have a hysterectomy, a baby or try prostap. Was given no information on it and was told to google it.

Ultrasound appointment
I was disappointed when the technician told me they can't really see anything on scans like this and don't know why they get asked to do them, but the chances of them offering to do a
laparoscopy
are slim because of how invasive they are.

Other than the pain(!), what are your symptoms?
I suspected endometriosis for many years before I sought medical help and even then it was years until I was told I have it (don't want to use the word diagnosed as I haven't had a
laparoscopy
, but very conclusive findings on MRI).

Superficial Endometriosis- conflicting advice!
She advised me NOT to have a
laparoscopy
as women with Superficial Endo do not experience pain relief from it.

Post Lap bloating at 10 weeks
Hello All, I hope someone can put my mind at ease. I’ve been to hell and back recently. Stupidly waited 7 years on the NHS Wales waiting list for laproscopy. I kept getting told it was routine and I was next on the list. After recently going in and out of A and E for 4 months, loosing my job and being

NHS vs Specialist
Hi everyone, I had my first lap with the NHS in February and my pains have come straight back. Does anyone have any experiences to share with going private/seeing a specialist as I really don’t know whether it’s going to be any different? Any recommendations are much appreciated as well, thank you

Laparoscopy
Has anyone else struggled to feel better (as much as can be) after a
laparoscopy
. My last one was 20 odd years ago, I was obviously much younger then but I don't remember feeling so rough. I'm due on so that is probably causing more pain and discomfort.

Uninterested GPs
They have put me in for a
Laparoscopy
(reluctantly) but I could be waiting til at least April because they don't see any of this as urgent. And the referal might be rejected.

Endometriosis and Smear Tests
I had my
laparoscopy
about 8months ago. I was just wondering if it’s ok to have a smear test (mainly pain-wise!) or if I should wait longer? (I might just be being a bit of a scaredy cat about it haha). Any advice would be appreciated 😀 x

hormonal issues- is it the mirena coil?
Hi all, I wondered if anyone could give me advice, but I have been diagnosed with endometriosis last year and had my first

surgery and all went fine and feel a lot better than I was before.

Positive NHS surgery experience- for those who need reassurance!
For anyone reading this nervous about their next

, whether it’s a first or a tenth, I hope my experience has made you feel more optimistic about your recovery! ❤️🩹
