I have severe pain on day of my period since I was 9 years old. My pain grew worse over the years and now it’s so bad that I need morphine when I have my period. I had an ultrasound and then an MRI and both were negative. Do I bother getting a laparoscopy?
anyone feel the same?: I have severe pain... - Endometriosis UK

I think you should I have heard many many stories of people getting operations and nothing found just to go private a year later and it’s everywhere don’t loose hope don’t be gaslight only you know your body as wel as they do. If you feel something is wrong you have to advocate for yourself or no one will listen - good luck
a laparoscopy is the only way to diagnose endometriosis so yes, get the laparoscopy. My scans showed I was perfectly fine too, I had endometriosis everywhere and adenomyosis as well. Don’t let them brush you off, you need to be persistent.
I am in the same position I was told by the NHS I have superficial endometriosis that can’t be seen on ultrasound or MRI by a specialist. The NHS told me not to have laparoscopy because it won’t help.
I am going back to another private surgeon to discuss. I think it’s important to get several opinions and research who the best surgeons are.
