vimpat / lacosamide stopped fully working
Does anyone have any input on Vimpat/
lacosamide
for RLS? It seems to work for about three weeks before I need to increase the dose. I’m now up to 150 mg at 8 PM and 10 PM. I’d appreciate any input. I don’t think there are a lot of people who have tried this yet.

lab work 8 weeks post iron infusion - advice?
I’m currently still symptomatic but much improved on
lacosamide
/Vimpat 150 twice a day. level was 7.7 right in the middle. I also take gabapentin 300 twice a day for other nerve damage from spinal fusion. And marijuana is my last resort for the middle of the night but it doesn’t last long.

Could Epilim and lacosamide/VIMPAT have something in common [type of medication?] that causes 'shakes',need to get some research done on it?
I have been on Vimpat/
lacosamide
and briviact since April 2018 [in Jan 2018 I had a double seizure, which caused irreparable brain damage, diagnosed TERMINAL in July 2021 "the next seizure will probably be your last"] It has started again radical shaking of my hands, I cannot change my medication, I

TLE and weakness
Currently taking keppra 750mg twice a day and 50mg
lacosamide
twice a day. Being stuck in the house all day on my own while hubby is at work for up to 12 hours isnt helping anxiety/depression. Im wondering if there is anyone who has the same head/brain feelings with their epilepsy?

iron lab results 10 weeks post iron infusion
And I’m now on a trial of VIMPAT/
lacosamide
50 twice a day that I’m one week into with very slight improvement. The Sleep neurologist plans to increase the dose and, if it stops my legs from moving, start me on a trial of sonata for sleep.

Vimpat is working for severe RLS and PLMD
I’ve had almost complete resolution of my RLS on Vimpat (
lacosamide
) now at 150 mg at 10 am and 10 pm. This is a remarkable turnaround in my symptoms. I started on 50 twice a day and the effect started to wane with a tolerable amount of breakthrough RLS.

Anti-epileptic drug
The interesting thing is that it is far better when I take in the "Cosim" (
lacosamide
). Do anybody have experience like this? The bad thing is that it's effect is lower now.. If T reacts to the medicament, is it in connection with the epilepsy - or this is a far more general effect of the drug?

When they say anti seizure medication 'prevent seizures from happening' what EXACTLY does that mean?
I have still been having focal seizures which are much more under control since the introduction of
lacosamide
. Last night, I woke up feeling incredibly odd and quite sick and how I remember feeling leading up to a tonic clonic pre medication.

Panic Attacks on Vimpat/Lacosamide
Hi I switched from Phenytoin to Lamotrogine in Nov 22 after 30 years because my specialist said the long term side affects were quite bad. I was ok on the Lamotrogine but could never shake off the brain fog. I have recently switched to Vimpat and the brain fog has gone but 2 days after my last dose of

Shaky hands side effects of Vimpat [Lacosamide] or Briviact [Brivaracetam] have been taking them since April 2018?
Have very shaky hands can hardly type, various medical mishaps since then, in Jan 2018 had double seizure, broken skull, [later in July 2021 CT scan found this caused irreparable brain damage, Terminal] but typing almost impossible! In 2016 taken off Epilim, almost Parkinson's disease shaking hands,

I am new
I am now on lamotrigine and
lacosamide
at a much smaller dosage. One of the hardest things I have had to deal with is the weight gain. Obesity itself causes many health problems, and I do not know what side effects have been caused by the medication.

Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS)
He is on
Lacosamide
and Topiramate but still have about 3-4 long partial focal seizures a month. VNS has been suggested to us by our neurologist. Has anybody got any pos/neg experience with that? Has it decreased seizures? Has it led to a decrease in medication?
