I have epilepsy since 2002. I use anti-epileptic drugs. I have T too for 3 years. Sometimes it is better sometimes worse. The interesting thing is that it is far better when I take in the "Cosim" (lacosamide). Do anybody have experience like this? The bad thing is that it's effect is lower now.. If T reacts to the medicament, is it in connection with the epilepsy - or this is a far more general effect of the drug?
(The most interesting is that for now T is lower for around 2 days a week.. I have the idea to make EEG in these 2 different state)
Thank you for helping.

I don’t know the newer to this, kchrisX, but if you go to the website of Tinnitus UK and type “epilepsy” into their search box (top left) you will see some information about another anticonvulsant.
It’s possible that a pharmacist local to you might have a little knowledge of this, but it doesn’t look as if any rearch has been done. If it works for you, then good!
Rather than being something which seems to help tinnitus, the UK's British National Formulary medical advice portal suggests that tinnitus is an oft-reported side effect of Lacosamide: bnf.nice.org.uk/drugs/lacos...
Everyone's reactions to medications can differ, but if the medication is helping your epilepsy, I would say that this is the best outcome which can be hoped for and the effect on tinnitus is a happy bonus.
