On Tiromel (T3), now getting heart palpitations HELP!!
Hi - I hope you can help me. I haven't posted here in a long time. I've been on T3 only for many years now after seeing Dr Peatfield quite a long time ago (he first put me on NDT but that didn't help). My previous Dr was happy for me to do this "unofficially", but there are now new doctors at our practice

Sourcing NDT
Hi all, I know this topic isn't really OK and frankly the fact that it isn't just shows how screwy our situation is. However, I'm hoping some kind souls might be kind and PM me please? I've scoured the net and all the sources I've seen look dodgy or extortionate. I'm afraid of the outcome if I

NDT gives me a sore/dry throat
Hello kind people, Wondered if anyone could give insight into NDT giving me a dry/sore throat. I’ve been ignoring it, but it recurs, particularly after I change my dose (up or even down). Concerned that this is some type of autoimmune response. I will measure antibodies to find out for sure, but

Feeling dreadful today... Any ideas why?
Hi Having moved from T4 to 1 grain of Armour NDT in July on advice my private Dr, I seem to have had mixed days. These last 2 weeks have been particularly bad and I don't know why. Test results from last week: Blood test 7am. Last dose of NDT 24hr before. Biotin supplements stopped 5 days before

Thyroid medication - liothyronine brands - free from/ gluten free
hi I have finally got an appointment with a endo specialist again after being discharged prior to covid in 2019 as they refused to keep prescribing me the liothyronine free from brand mayne pharma on the nhs knowing I had started to have reactions to levo (I was doing well with this brand of liothyronine

Liothyronine brands and insomnia?
My health board has finally agreed to prescribe Liothyronine after years of me having firstly bought NDT until they stopped working and then sourcing Liothyronine from abroad. My thyroid syptoms seem well under control but I am suffering from chronic indomnia. I was on 100 Levo and 25 liothyronine but

Seasonal T3+T4 value drop?
this has been happening for 2 years in a row now. Could only tell by symptoms last year but this year I tested every 2 weeks and sure enough its happening again. Last year I was started on thyroid medication. From mid may I was on 4 grains NDT. This continued for almost a year. The first few months

Do I need more or less NDT?
So sorry for yet more Qs... But I'd really love to hear from anyone who is successfully on NDT. I have found recently that when I increase my NDT, my body responds well: good bowel movements less anxiety less depression more motivation weight loss higher body temp (36+) [u]and then, a few days/a

What's going on with my leg?
I switched from synthetic to ndt and my foot is swollen, I can barely step on it. I take anti-inflammatories but it still doesn't deflate. Now I take 2,5 grain +25 mcg levo. I feel fine in general but my heart rate is high. I'm afraid of complications at my leg and I'm thinking of switching back to

Thyroid testing
I know that the best time of day to take a thyroid test is first thing fasting and not to take your medication before the test. I have a Medichecks test booked for next week at 10am - TFT and iron. The reason I chose 10a.m. was to avoid the rush hour which is horrendous near me and the 35 minute journey

NDT and lifestyle
Hi all, As some may be aware from my prior posts I am trying my hand at NDT. I wondered if others who are trying to tolerate NDT have noticed they are more or less tolerant to NDT depending on what they eat/how they live alongside. For instance, today I largely ate rubbish after studying the night

A source for Thyroid S in UK
Good morning, Please could someone private message me as I am looking for a source for Thyroid S? I taken my NDT sublingual and Erfa is sweet which I do not like. So I wanted to try Thyroid S and I vaguely remember trying it before before I Switched to T3 only. Thank you

Please can you advise me on my calculations to switch NDT to Levo
If I currently take NDT 1 grain in split doses 7.30am and 3.30pm , do I take 100 mcg of Levo in one dose or split it? and do I also need to add 5 - 10 mcg of T3 to match the NDT content in 1 grain? Is a switch over done immediately like for like? Or do I have to leave a day for the NDT's T3 content

Long term hypothyroidism cause damage?
Hi all, I’ve been posting a lot on here recently, I hope I’m not irritating anyone! I have a Q about long term damage from hypothyroidism. I developed hypothyroidism at 13, I am now 31. My initial symptoms were severe fatigue, bad depression and extreme anxiety and panic attacks. I was heavily medicated

NDT and vitamin recommendations
After 20 years of Hashimotos I've had enough of GP's and Levothyroxine. I went to a private clinic and no suprise - I am very low on T3. She has prescribed slow release T3 5mcg but (maybe impatient) I feel no better. I've just discovered this site and read about NDT. Sounds like a better plan.

NDT multiple, tiny doses
What do you weathered NDT/T3 takers think about taking tiny doses of NDT at very regular intervals, eg. 1/4 grain every hour. update: I tried doing this this morning and I still haven’t managed to get out of bed.

Blood test results on NDT
Hi All, I've just had some blood tests and I'm unsure whether to change my dose or not. I'm currently on 1 3/4 grains of Armour. My results are: TSH: 0.31 (0.27-4.2) T3: 4.05 (3.1-6.8) T4: 9.6 (12-22) Overall, I feel ok. I tend to hit a wall mid afternoon (when my meds are due), but I tend to perk
