I typed breastfeeding on ndt into Google and many links came up.

NDT has been used for over a hundred years. We can conclude that there are no obvious dangers although a large scale trial with levothyroxine and NDT would be needed to find any minor issues with either therapy.

Don't give me levo as I found it awful (which is a kind word) as I was worse on this than before I diagnosed myself - a couple of hours after GP phoned to tell me that my blood test was fine and I had no problems!

He was completely unaware what a TSH of 100 indicated! Neither did I know anything at that time about hypothyroidism and I've also had some more silly statements from other GPs.

Your doctor was most incompetent. I'm not in favour of levothyroxine monotherapy. In terms of safety for breast feeding (and pregnancy) we have sufficient experience over many decades to feel confident that both are relatively safe but a large scale study is needed to identify any small risks that may be associated with either therapy.
