My Experience with Wisdom Healing Qigong

Neuro patch
I am having DBS surgery this fall, but in the meantime, am taking 10 Sinemet 25/100 tabs daily. On/off periods are the norm, so I am considering wearing the patch. Looking for anyone with experience (good/bad) with the patch.. Thanks!!

Newbie here...
Hi everyone, my name is Kathy. I was diagnosed with PD Mar 30th. I think I'm still in a state of shock. I had hoped it was nerve damage from my back surgery or essential tremors, or my medication or something...My neurologist wants me to get a second opinion with a Parkinson specialist. Which I can't

Weight gain and sinemet
It is very hard to get doctors to take this problem seriously. As soon as I started on sinemet I started packing the pounds on, mainly in my mid-section. I understand this is not uncommon for PwP 60 years and upward (weight LOSS is more common for younger parkies). Have you dealt with this problem? What

I've defeated my loss of levodopa benefit that happens after eating protein
To start with, an update, I am back on the MP, no Sinemet at least unless I hit another obstacle unforeseen. I hurt myself today eating some delicioooous bbq beef. It was soon after getting my dopamine right and I had been feeling pretty good actually. The beef protein began to rapidly bring me down

Neuropathy and Parkinson's
Hi 👋🏽 I've asked this question before of the community...I was diagnosed in 2012 with PD and have never followed what the neurologists feel is a "normal" path. My symptoms are always puzzling to them..but PD is a puzzling disease I tell them... About 2-3 months now I have experienced boiling hot sweats

Having side effects from taking Mucuna Pruiens, Sinemet and Rasagiline
I have just started taking Mucuna Pruiens and Sinement with a new prescription of Rasagiline. I have had two episodes where I have felt overly energized and a rush of energy with no Parkinson's symptoms but lasts about an hour and a half and feels as if I am on some type of speed. Has anyone taken

Sifrol
Today, my neurologist added Sifrol and increased Sinemet dosage from 3 to 4times a day. I was Dx with PD in 2014, September and I will be 61 years old soon. After reading and watching about pwp in this community, I realised that it went back to 2011, when I got a strange smell, like the smell in a

Atremorine
I have read some of the discussion on here about Atremorine. My husband who has had Parkinsons since he was 42 ( now 65) has been taking it since mid January. He had been finding after so many years on Sinemet, that it had become unreliable and he was falling and having balance problems. He is still working

Anatomy of a Myth
[*Note: 'Willful dupes' comprise that segment of a given group of people (take the HU PD forum group for an example) who believe ANY hope is better than no hope. They are the segment that is so desperate for some sense of hope that they willingly accept as fact any 'hope' that is dangled before them

Cruising
I was diagnosed nearly 2 years ago and am managing symptoms quite well at the moment. I am on sinemet 25/100 3x per day. Last October I went on a weeks cruise which was lovely but when I got off the ship I felt like I was walking on a trampoline for about a week after (known as Mal de Debarquement Syndrome

Has this happened to anyone else?
I take sinemet 25/100 about 4-5 times a day. I've been on this schedule for at least a year and it's been working great. 2 wks. ago I went on vacation to Cancun, Mexico and soon after arriving I started getting really bad wearing off symptoms-very stiff, bending forward at the hips, blank stare, etc.

Cycling on a recumbent bike
I was impressed by the article on NBC about riding a recumbent bike for three times a week at an RPM of 80-90 for 45 mins each time. If anyone is also doing this exercise could you please advise if your PD improved and how long it took to see any results. I bought a recumbent bike three weeks ago

Risk of long-term levodopa/carbidopa side effects
I recently came across an article produced by the Cleveland Clinic which was an eye-opener. It said "While Sinemet is the most effective medicine and has the least short-term side effects, it is associated with high risks of long-term side effects, such as involuntary movements (dyskinesia). Used on
