Mucana vs Sinemet
My husband was diagnosed five years ago with PD. He is 75. His biggest annoyance at this time is hallucinations. He takes Sinemet, 25/100 , 2 pills three times a day. We are aware and I follow this site, that it could be caused from his medication. We have attempted twice to reduce but can only get down

Too much Sinemet
First off, if you've seen one case of Parkinson's, you've seen one case of Parkinson's. In my wife's case, she experienced overdosing on Sinemet. She started by taking Mirapex when she was first diagnosed about 5 years ago. Even a small dosage was putting her to sleep for long periods of time. Her

Entacapone side effects
I have been put on entacapone 200mg with sinemet 25/100 3 x a day & I have been experiencing terrible sweating at night. At first, I thought maybe it's just going through menopause, but this sweating is way different, because I am literally sweating from my head to my toes. Has anyone else experienced

Sinemet not as effective in afternoon
My mom has been taking sinemet (25/100) 4 times a day for 2 years. She also takes one pill of Azilect. She gets up early like 4:30 so her first sinemet dose is around 5 am. When we saw the doctor last Friday she told him how she fades in afternoon. He recommended switching to rytary. He told her

Switching from sinemet to rytary
My mom is in her first week of rytary from sinemet. She took 4 sinemet pills a day. Her rytary dose is 95. The doctor had her gradually increasing this over 10 days to see what works for her. She is now up to 3 pills at 4 times per day but says when she wakes up around 4:30 she feels awful and has

Possibly misdiagnosed orthostatic hypotension
I have just returned from the UK where I joined celebrations for my parents diamond wedding anniversary. Mum got her card from the Queen, so she was happy. And Dad was running round like a toddler, on his feet all day at the party, nobody even remembering we had a wheelchair available. At my sons

My theory on B1
I have read for the last 6 months people’s experiences on B1. Some people have huge improvements and need large amounts. It seems more and more people are dropping back to much lower levels. I wonder whether it is because the first group of people who were treated by Dr Constantini were local Italian

Sinemet now unavailable in New Zealand
Sinemet is out of stock here in NZ and pharmacies say it might be quite a long time before its back. The new substitute called Kinson which they say is the same but I think the product that disperses the levodopa ect is not good.It does not help me the same and I get headaches and feel down on it.

On period for Parkinson's with alternative medicine
Hi I'm here to learn from anybody approaching Parkinson's treatment differently! I hate Western medicine not minding how my neurologist feel about it! I prefer alternative medicine and currently on Zandopa with green tea which gives me 3 hours on time! Recently I started adding sinemet CR to the Mucuna

Feeling excited about finding a cure for my RLS without meds!!
Good day to all!! I have amazing news. For the first time in forever, if not ever, I have had complete relief of my RLS symptoms when going to bed. Last night, was night number 12. Prior to bed, I did have a few flair ups a couple times, but I just got up and did something, it was day time.. Now my

Mucuna Pruriens (MP) vs Sinemet
I am getting bad side effects from Sinemet mono therapy. Basically, dystonia. Has anyone replaced Sinemet with MP and gotten better results? What brand do you buy and from where? Also, I see that MP comes in different forms. There are organic, raw powders, concentrated extract powders with very high

Vertigo
I just happen to talk to a friend the other day who now has Vertigo. I told her the following. Years ago my mother had Vertigo and there was no hope so they sent her to Shane’s teaching hospital in Gsinesville. She checked into her room and before she went to sleep, this intern per day or young doctor

Stress and Parkinson's
In response to participants who asked for references in the thread dealing with stress and Parkinson's, here is the abstract of the first paper I was thinking about. I did not find the second one for now (Two women patients that were cured from PD through "relieving the cause of their stress"). A potential

Generic Drugs: Inactive Ingredients
It is with some hesitancy that I write on this topic. My purpose is to inform, not to alarm. The issues I shall discuss are real, but I expect have very small impact on the general community. Please take care not to imagine that everything I say applies to you personally. With these caveats I shall proceed
