Generic Drugs: Inactive Ingredients
It is with some hesitancy that I write on this topic. My purpose is to inform, not to alarm. The issues I shall discuss are real, but I expect have very small impact on the general community. Please take care not to imagine that everything I say applies to you personally. With these caveats I shall proceed

Husband is in Sinemet 25/100, 4x/day since diagnosis 4 years ago. At recent visit with movement neurologist, he said movement is stiff and could be improved with a medication update. Choking
Hi everyone, my husband has started to choke when he takes his medication. Does this happen to anyone else? I think he will have to have his sinemet tablets crushed now.

Sinamet CR providing no relief
My Mom has PD and has been taking C-L with relative stability, but would go through "off-times" routinely 2 hours after taking her meds. In order to prevent this, her doctor started her on Sinemet CR, hoping it would provide a smoother day, with less severe "off times". Her doctor eased her into the

Sinemet and fasting
Has anyone noticed improvement in Sinemet absorption when fasting, such as intermittent fasting? I noticed that I do. I am on Sinemet only and nothing else.

Help Dosing Sinemet Plus DESPERATE
My 96 yr old mum is undermedicated. She has been "weak" for the last year at least. Everyone wants to accept it as old age. My mum has always been STRONG. She missed a neurologist appointment about 8 months ago because she was too weak to go. Finally saw him in September. He increased her Sinemet

Mucuna vs Sinemet
The doc increased my dosage from 1 to 1 1/2 pills of Sinemet three times a day. . I start taking mucuna pruriens to lower dose of sinemet instead of increasing the sinemet dosage. Does anyone have a suggested dosage of mucuna pruriens to supplement 1 pill of sinemet 25/100 three times a day, in hopes

PD and the microbiome - WinnieThePoos Christmas update
If you only knew how superstitious I am, and how wary of commentators curse. Still, man up Winnie, and tell it as it is Last night Sue and I went to the PMU - our local bar where our ex-pat friends hang out. I explained that my CBD oils, which I ordered more than 3 weeks ago, had at last arrived -

pd and versed
I have an upcoming tooth extraction. The periodontist will be using Versed as an anesthetic/tranquilizer. Does anyone have any experience of negative interactions with sinemet or other contraindications? Thanks.

Off label medication - how to choose
Ian Frizzels recent vlog about his MP's intervention regarding the prescription for Exanatide inspired this post. I hope he contributes. It's unashamedly selfish. Having tried to establish DIP on first diagnosis, I switched to research for disease modifying "new hopes" after the DATscan. My dilemma

Which therapy helped you the most?
Can people say which of these helped them the most? I don't think there's an option for adding a poll. Dopamine agonists: These are most often the first medicines used to treat RLS. These drugs, including pramipexole (Mirapex), rotigotine (Neupro), and ropinirole (Requip), act like the neurotransmitter
