Different year.. same battle
So we are 8 days away from Ryan’s second
Keytruda
infusion. 6 days away from blood work that could take down the whole mission. I don’t know about anyone else.. but I get just the same amount of anxiety when it comes to blood work as I do a scan sometimes.. it could make or break a treatment.

Bone mets
The lesions in her abdomen seem to be responding well to the
keytruda
, but we can't seem to get the same luck with her bones. She isn't able to do much physically because of the pain in her spine, and the idea of the cancer spreading to more bones is terrifying.

Keytruda
We literally have the chemotherapy in his night stand, but are holding off to try
Keytruda
to see if it will work. We are very happy with this.

Pembrolizumab/ Keytruda stopped
Well the oncologist has now stopped my pembrolizumab due to side effects. So I had been on it for about 1 year and had only a couple of side effects the first one in early April last year was bad fluid on the heart and lungs. That was sorted and immunotherapy commenced. Recently I have had immunotherapy

Post targeted meds treatment?
Hi all, my mother, Ursula’s, scans showed new tumors with more uptake than previously seen on this course of Vem Cobi so Onc is suggesting either ipi /Nivo though there is a low chance /little known for this population of patients who have failed ipi (adjuvant) and
keytruda
twice.

Limited time/options
Hi all, we’re waiting to hear results of a genetic test to see if
Keytruda
might be of help for my dad, who is almost 87. While on docetaxel, his PSA quadrupled ( from 6 to 24). We saw the urologist today.

Been wanting to write this for awhile
In March or April 2019 I started: Immunotherapy -
Keytruda
Chemo - Pemetrexed -Alimta Chemo - Carboplatin - Paraplatin The brain tumors were shrinking and my lymph nodes but due to my being so neauseated and dizzy they wanted to keep me on Immunotherapy only so my quality of life would get better,

Disappointing day.Was suppose to start infusion
Keytruda
as Brav-Mek combo has had no effect. However Alt-AST readings were too high and doc said there would be too much toxcity esp since I have Ulcerative colitis and temporal arteritis.Very disconcerting knowing that there has not really been any effective

Keytruda question
Hi there, I wonder if anyone can share their experience on
keytruda
. Mum tried chemo for 3 rounds but the oncologist says the response wasn’t big enough and that we should move straight onto
keytruda
. We were so devastated at this, we hoped for better.

How to deal mentally with diagnosis?
Mum is stage 4 NCSC and soon to be starting on
keytruda
. It’s an odd ‘in limbo’ time as the words of the doctor saying the chemo hasn’t worked are still ringing. That combined with a new treatment which we will need to wait 3 months to see if effective. Mum is really anxious.

Discouraged
I was started on
Keytruda
and have had s remarkable turn around within a couple months. Even though my dr has said it was miraculous, she talks very discouraging about my future. She says stuff like, you know this will stop working, etc.

Scan verdict, reason to be positive?!
So that’s a blow ideally we wanted shrinkage.... however... she’s now being put on
Keytruda
. I’ve read up on this new drug and how effective it’s been for some people. I guess we’re lucky she can have it. Onwards and upwards I guess! The battle rolls on!

People of HealthUnlocked | Meet Ryan
She began giving me
keytruda
, and slight pain medication. A month later my hip became painful, and shortly after my knee became painful. The doctor ordered a PET scan.

When to consider Keytruda as not working?
Is there any hope left with
keytruda
? Any alternatives or is this the end?
