Dams man

My husband had 42 infusions of Keytruda. We kept the side effects list on our bathroom Mirror as a checkpoint. Don’t hesitate to call the oncology nurse or doc about side effects, especially rash, fever, or extreme fatigue as these may require very close management or hospitalization.

Biggest daily impact was some fatigue ( but Wayne continued to work every day; but in bed by 8 each night), topicals rash managed with cortisone cream, and very dry mouth managed with ACT lozenges, specialty toothpaste and lots of water. Keep up with your dentist because all the lack of saliva can create tooth health issues.

We had scans every 12 weeks.

Best of luck

Missy

Samacman,

My husband had 38 infusions of Opdivo, which is really the same as Keytruda. He did very well on it. He went from a devastating diagnosis (you can read my page) to NED. He had and still does have a lot of fatigue, and itching. He also is always in bed by 8, that hasn’t changed, but he is still working today. I will say for Mark the steroids have really been a life saver for him. He has periods he can come off them and then sometimes the inflammation gets too bad and he has to go back on. He had to stop the Opdivo when it started attacking his stomach. But when this medication works it really works.

I am praying for great results for you.

Michele
