The club you never wanted to join: Stage 4 Gleason 9+ at 46
Then I got a Hail Mary in late 2019, genetic testing indicated I was MSI-h and qualified for pembroluzimab (
Keytruda
) immunotherapy. By the second cycle my PSA dropped from 86 to undetectable. I’ve been over a year now with an undetectable PSA. Talk about a Hail Mary!!! Stay strong brothers!

Keytruda 1 Year !!
Alright I’m 1-yr with undetectable PSA after starting
Keytruda
and pretty much feel back to normal. Bone mets are healing based on nuc-med bone showing that uptake is notably decreased. I can say I got this dragon on the rails!!!

Can anyone share experiences of External Beam Radiotherapy to the lungs?
I have no experience of any treatment beyond
Keytruda
Pembrolizumab which ended for me 9 months ago. I’ve just started to get a bit of energy back but still have all kinds of pain and stuff going on.

Treatment options after Olaparib; Docetaxel or Cabazetaxel
I may want to consider a new
Keytruda
trial specifically for BRCA2+ patients. Although I read that
Keytruda
can negatively affect thyroid and adrenal glands. Expect to have updated Auximin scan once PSA exceeds 1.0.

Keytruda-viable option?
Interested in hearing experiences with
Keytruda
. My Oncologist is suggesting a clinical trial for BRCA2+ and MSS patients, which I have both. Have been on Olaparib for over a year and a half, during most of that time controlling my PSA as undetectable.

Update - Immunotherapy treatment
My partner was an ideal candidate for immunotherapy and has completed three cycles of
Keytruda
Pembrolizumab. Without treatment prognosis was only a few months. He had his first scan and his oncologist shared the incredible news this week that he is responding to the treatment.

Scan update
We are continuing with
Keytruda
- and his oncologist is actually opening and starting a new clinical trial and she has another treatment option under her sleeve just in case we need it. I believe the clinical trial involves
Keytruda
plus ipilimumab.

Olaparib-Keytruda Trial
Update of my adventures on this trial: 11 days in after 1 infusion of
Keytruda
and taking four caps of Olaparib I developed a significant rash all over my body. Went to Emergency room. Steroids knocked it down had me suspend Olaparib until my next visit 10 days later. Dr.

Lung cancer stage 4 and treatment
I am on Alimta, Carboplatin and
Keytruda
. I will get my first ct scan to see if it's working on September 30th. If you know who this person is, maybe you can tell them to contact me. Or if anyone else is interested in talking, please let me know. Good luck to you all and thank you. Sandy B.

Lung cancer chemo resistant
I had 4 rounds of carboplatin with
keytruda
and 1 infusion of
keytruda
alone. Had a scan and my cancer is resistant to the chemo. I'm going to be starting a treatment of gemzar in Hope's it works.

Chemo induced kidney problems
As a result I was not given Pemetrexed last time round (the carboplatin was being discontinued anyway) receiving only the
Keytruda
. A further blood test this week has shown that the creatinine levels have increased again.

Brain MRI
Treatment wise,
Keytruda
is the winner for now. It has worked for most of his cancer this round, and the ones that didn’t want to play were removed. Crossing our fingers 🤞🏻 Any updates in anyone else’s neck of the woods? Love to all xoxo from MD

Good days
So he will be getting his second infusion of
Keytruda
since the surgery on Monday. Between this next one and the third is when we will rescan. Took another look at his Foundation One results, and the mutations that he does have aren’t useful in any new treatments.

Surviving the chemo rollercoaster!
Keytruda
got us through Covid, which is a blessing but now we just need a bit of luck that the chemo is going to do it’s job. X

My lovely girlfriend looks things up, studies oncology and my test results like a professor....and she demanded
keytruda
. Her nickname is
Keytruda
now, because it saved me again. All things shrunk or disappeared in 3 months, or so said the radiologist. My health....improved in a way.

What and how to trust the Keytruda is the right drug
. :) I did 10 rounds of radiation on my hip and now I'm doing
keytruda
. Monday I'm going to go get a CT scan and do my infusion I hope after hours of treatment and testing they can come back with good news. Some days I get really depressed and cry at the smallest things.

Home at last... 🏡
I do believe the oncologist said that he will continue on
Keytruda
. She sent his pathology that by the way came back positive for melanoma. (Kinda grateful?

Testosterone and ADT break
I’ve pretty much run through the available SOC route, but qualified for immunotherapy
Keytruda
and that turned things around for me. PSA has been undetectable for 6 months now. I continue to get
Keytruda
infusions now every 6 weeks. My question is regarding ADT.

Are you currently on Keytruda or Tagrisso? Or Caregiver for someone with lung cancer?
Looking for patients on
Keytruda
to volunteer for a time limited project and/ or for ongoing volunteering as a Phone Buddy (peer mentor by phone). 2. Patients on Tagrisso interested in becoming a Phone Buddy. 3. Caregivers who want to be a Phone Buddy (peer mentor) to other caregivers.

After genome testing, it was determined that I woild be a candidate for
Keytruda
. I have been at this fight for 6 years, Taxotere, casodex, lupron, xgeva, Xtandi. They all worked until they didn't. I am still on lupron and xgeva. I had my first infusion of
Keytruda
on July 2.
