How can I help my son succeed in school?
Hi all! I'm new here and looking for support and guidance. My 13 year old son has ADHD combined type. He just finished 8th grade at a Private School. I am a single parent and my son and I live with my parents. He takes 25 mg of Focalin XR every morning with the option to take another 10mg in the afternoon

Adderall xr doesn’t seem to work as well?
Hi everyone! So glad I found this resource. I was tAking vyvanse 40mg and adderall 10mg to help me think faster/concentrate for about the last year. For some reason, my dr is against stating a diagnosis. Anyway, It was great for a while but then I had to see a new dr and now my insurance won’t cover

Hallucinations?
We’ve been home from hospital 3 weeks. My amazing 16 year old son has survived despite all the odds. Epilepsy Meds and non NSAIDS with NAFLD
Hi there! I'm a newbie with a couple questions. Does anyone know which epilepsy meds aren't as hard on the liver? I'm currently on Keppra and Topamax. Also, I have ehlers danlos, so chronic pain is a serious issue. I've developed asthma and an allergy to NSAIDS. Does anyone have recommendations for pain

Quillivant and Adderall side effects
My 7 year old has tried Quillivant XR and Adderall...he has bouts of crying, gets cold, irritable and does not want to do what he normally would (play outside, be silly) until meds wear off. Has anyone experienced this and changed to a nonstimulant? Any advice is helpful, thank you!

Can't seem to stop constant underarm odor
Hello, My wife has had PD for around four years. This strong underarm odor always returns in 1-2 days after a good cleaning. The anti-perspirant deodorants make no difference at all, because she very seldom, if ever, perspires/sweats. I've started using my Brut deodorant on her but that was no help either

Hi! Just wanted to see if I could gain some advice and meet others in a similar position to mine! I was diagnosed as epileptic just over a week ago after having my first seizure Christmas Day! I have tonic-Clonic (grand mal) seizures, I’m on Keppra, and am still having seizures twice a week. I just wanted

What is the difference between Adderall and Adderall XR?
How different is the simple Adderall to Adderall XR and how do they function in our body for the treatment of ADHD? Which one is more efficient then other?

Daughter had sensory seizure yesterday
My daughter had her first daytime seizure. It was a bad smell accompanied eventually by headaches, twitching eyes, and tingling face. Our doctor is increasing the keppra to 4 mL twice a day. We're also going to try melatonin to get her sleep more on track. She sleeps so much now that she is missing school

Booster for Vyvanse
I’ve been taking Vyvanse for years. Since about 2012. I was on 40 for about 5 years then went up to 60 & 70. Then I stopped at my own discretion. I decided to get back on but my doch had retired 2 days before I called. Wtf right... He referred me to another dr that he mentored which turned out great

I'm a happy girl (or lucky!)
Got the results from the Epileptologist (I'm collecting quite a few "ologists" on this APS journey) and have the all clear and no new seizures on current meds. It has been 6 months and now cleared to drive again as I have been compliant on Keppra. I'm a bit OCD with meds as it doesn't take much to

Finding help after ADHD diagnosis post menopause
I am a 67 yr old female who has had a rough 16 years since menopause, with still no resolution for the correct meds for me. I was put on antidepressants at the start of menopause at 51, then wasn't diagnosed with ADHD until 61 - after 10 years of utter brain fog and apathy (and lost 4 jobs in a row).

Gabapentin
My neurologist prescribed me Gabapentin early last year (2019) to help with my sleep seizures. I tried for a day/two but stopped taking them because I felt unsure about being on this as well as Keppra. I thought if I eat healthy, exercise, the usual, I should get into a healthy sleep routine and my sleep

Taking two medications okay?
I take dilantin, and keppra. 200 mg dilantin, and 1000 mg keppra in the morning, and at night. Is that okay?
