Three shocks in last twelve months and not been to hospital, anyone else had a similar experience?
Hello all, I hope some of you might be able to advise or share your experience. I've had my ICD since 2013 and have recently (2 days ago) received my 10th shock. This was confirmed by the hospital over the phone as a VF arrest. The two shocks previous to this were the same, and I've also had some anti-tachy

Info on ICD's?
Hi everyone, I met with my heart specialist here in Newcastle upon Tyne (UK) yesterday and I have been pencilled in to have an ICD fitted. Does anyone on here have any experience of such a thing? I'm brand new to this forum and I'm also absolutely hopeless with technology and computers so I just hope

I used to have a copper
iud
and would have very heavy periods. Could my heavy blood loss have been masking my PV? I then got a hormonal
iud
which has made my natural blood loss become almost nonexistent.

Question on pain post surgery
Hi everyone, I won’t go into too much detail into my history as I’ve posted about it on here before, however from that post I got some great advice and it’s been incredibly eye opening. Cut a long story short I have been suffering with irregular periods and pain for years plus a bunch of other symptoms

Ablation
Hey allJust had a call from my consultant asking my permission to put me down on the list for an ablation due to his worry that my ICD will deliver a shock which he doesn't want. I am now worrying about this. I know it's performed in the same manor as an angiogram but I had a very bad experience with

Mirena coil and back pain
Hi. Wondering what people’s experience is with the Mirena coil and it causing back pain? I’m 7 months in with the coil and it has stopped my periods and by month 5 had really helped with my endo pelvic pains but over the time I’ve experience lower back pain to the point I really pulled my back after

Dienogest and the coil
Hi everyone, My doctor prescribed me Dienogest for endo pain and said it was fine to take it even though I have a mirena coil. However, in the leaflet it says not to take it if you have a coil… does anyone have any idea? I ask because my moods have been all over the place and I wonder if it’s because

flutters after ICD implant
Hi, My husband had an ICD fitted in January after having his heart attack two years ago, but during the last week he said he's experiencing "flutters". He thinks he may be paranoid and looking for things that aren't there but I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this - and is it normal or

Update fainting/dizzy spells
My heart nurse and consultant think they have figured out the cause of my dizzy spells and the fainting episode. It's my heart rate. On Friday my heart rate peaked at 174 and took an hour to slow down even with my ICD pacing. Pacing team rang to check I was ok as home monitor sent them the information

Endometriosis on the outside of uterus
I had a baby 4 weeks ago 🥳was over the moon. Didn't think I'd get him. Felt really well for the pregnancy and the last 4 weeks. Had hurrendous abdominal pain and lower back pain for 5 days. Been advised to get a coil but can't get it until January. Feeling really low that I'm not going to cope over

My first post: diagnostic laparoscopy didn't find anything but the horrible pain is still there
Hello, this is my first post here and I apologise for how long it is. I guess I am looking for some hope and advice. I am feeling really upset today because I had another phone call with my new gp who seems not to listen to me. I am forty, I’ve always suffered from bad periods (so did my mum and

Bleeding 2 weeks after first Prostap injection
Hi everyone so I currently have suspected but undiagnosed endometriosis. Dr started me on Prostap 2 weeks ago. I had been bleeding daily up until then (not a lot but noticable when I wipe) and have had lower left side pelvic pain for more than 2 years now and also have the mirena coil fitted. This

Finally received Endo diagnosis following laparoscopy... advice/support for next steps please!
Hi Everyone, I had investigative laparoscopy surgery back in October this year. I finally had my endometriosis diagnosed (it's only taken 18 years, for someone to truly listen), it was removed along with scarring and I had a mirena coil fitted. The validation I had after the surgery was unlike anything
