Quick Poll: if you had to choose between not driving or not cooking what would it be? This is a heart related question!!
I will shortly be having an ICD fitted (defibrillator) to hopefully control idiopathic VT, I am currently in hospital waiting for a slot after an exercise related syncope event. So signing my consent forms and going through the risks and what not to do I can't drive for 6 months or until 6 months after

ICD,s
Hi Everyone! My partner has recently been fitted with an ICD in rather a fast manner following a call to attend A& E when this Heart Loop Recorder noted a 10 second Ventricular Standstill. He was unaware of this until his heart monitor team called but down the line he was fitted with an ICD that day.

Hi All, We are still waiting to start our treatment after being referred for ICSI in August this year. Hi everyone, so my partner was diagnosed with HC when he was 14. Been in great shape and only having medication for his condition up until 2016/2017, then 41, he was advised to have an ICD. Since then he's had 3 occasions where the device has delivered shock therapy and unfortunately the last 2 occasions

Post ICD Implant-week 2
Hi all, I was hoping to get some feedback/advice from ideally ladies who have undergone ICD implant surgery. Today marks two weeks from getting an ICD. It is placed under the muscle and towards my armpit, over my left breast. I have been slowly building up some movement and a walking routine back

Cardiac MRI Scan
I was referred by the electrocardiologist for an MRI to assess the scar tissue etc before looking at an ICD... Went along this morning and couldn't do it. This is the 2nd time I've tried an MRI (last time was a back injury) and the 2nd time I've had to pull out almost immediately due to the claustrophobia

Statins
I had 2 HA in 2021. I have been on the usual medication since. I ended up with severe EF and now have an ICD. Recent blood tests have shown I have a lowered blood platelet. I am booked in with my GP on 15//2 but am concerned what is causing this. I have read it could be Statins. Is there anyone out there

Trigger warning. MMC - need support
I am feeling in total shock and devastated today. I had a failed fresh transfer and then a successful natural FET in Sept. I had a perfect viability scan at 6+6 and another reassurance scan at 9+2. Everything was perfect. Growth on point and heartbeat strong. My symptoms lessened and I got backache

Period while taking cyclogest
Hi all, I am currently on day 11 of taking 2x400mg of cyclogest following an IUI procedure 12 days ago. I was told to take cyclogest for 14 days and take a pregnancy test on day 15 but it looks like my period has just started. Has this ever happened to anyone? I wasn't aware that I could still get a

Pain that worsens upon movement? And triggers longer episodes of pelvic pain if I’ve been lifting or especially walking anywhere.
So, just over 3 years ago, I had a tubo-ovarian abscess, which I was in hospital for around a week with… It’s likely that this may have been caused by the coil itself and a consequent infection. Managed conservatively at the time but after repeated infections and severe pain, I was finally offered surgery

Hi, I am having an ICD fitted for heart failure. Could anyone please advise on how it works and how they feel about having the device. Does it affect your driving. Thank you.

ICD implant
Good morning. I have CPVT but just recently I have had a ICD implant because I was getting 7 second intermitting pauses in my heart rhythm. Does anyone else fell the little pulses? They don't hurt at all but make me aware of my heart rhythm. Do they eventually settle down. Thank you
