vitamins etc and thyroid function
My son is 20 and has just had his TSH come in at 4.5 ( above range with medichecks)… I’m so reluctant to think he may need treatment for thyroid now as I feel sorry for him I guess and am trying to understand whether optimum levels of vits/
iron
etc could improve this score and make his TSH come down

Advice needed please about liquid Levothyroxine side effects
Hello, I wrote a post about a month ago saying my adult son was unable to get liquid levothyroxine as it was out of stock. He was taking the brill Pharma brand and tolerated it really well. The chemist managed to source Teva liquid levothyroxine three weeks after we asked for a repeat prescription

Switch from Besremi to Jakafi
First five years after diagnosis I was treated with monthly phlebotomy and baby aspirin only. 5 yrs of monthly phlebotomy took its toll and
iron
deficiency and high platelets led me to besremi which had just been approved. Started besremi about 2 1/2 years ago.

Recent blood tests
Hi, can anybody offer any guidance on my blood tests. I have paid to have them done by blue horizon. My blood was done at 8.45 before taking any medication. I take levo 175 one day followed by 150 the next. B12 supplement. I have been suffering from a feeling of being on a boat with weak legs. Bad brain

End of my patience really unsure what to do feel completely alone and like nobody is listening Consultant confusing me what is wrong with me
I’m exhausted but been back to gp in between for bloods and apparently my
iron
is fine. She says she forgot to refer me for mri and says she will do it now and no point as fully expects to find endometriosis when she opens me up for hysterectomy.

Help with blood test interpretation for my daughter
Could anyone look at her
Iron
tests and comment on the under range TIBC and UIBC results? Or anything else
iron
related. How much methyl B12 should she be taking? She has been on Liposomal B Complex with 500mcg B12 for nearly three months. She has various methylation-related gene mutations.

What do these lab results suggest to you please
My questions are: Given that FT3 isn’t too bad should he just wait to see if ferritin improves and maybe helps nudge thyroid function D3, folate and B12 are high in range but ferritin is only just about within range with the rest of his
iron
panel suggesting no farther capacity for supplementing

Iron Infusion Heart Failure Related ??
Hello Just a quick question yesterday I had an appointment with the Heart Failure Nurse, she said after my latest Blood Test I need an
Iron
Infusion. My Question, is this a normal procedure for people with Heart Failure or just an age related thing.

Hello and any advice for withdrawal?
After 14 years in clinic with Professor Chaudhuri, told at every 6m appointment there have been no breakthroughs or new developments, have learned about
iron
infusion. I have requested to switch to a different clinic that supports this treatment.

need some words of encouragement please
Currently also tackling my
iron
(much better on three arrows) , my b supplements are all optimal with supplementing /injections. I was previously on quite a hefty dose of thyrogold (600mg) which equals around 5 grains of armour looking at conversion charts.
