ET JAK2+ for 18 months. Had sensitive liver reaction to all 3 primary drug treatments, recent one since March is peginterferon at 67 units per week. Liver enzymes started creeping up again (coincidently?) since getting flu and Covid shots two weeks apart in September. Also started taking 175 mg daily milk thistle caps 3 weeks ago to see if it could provide some liver relief. Today’s blood test first time ever I now have 1+ values for these two RBC tests. Can be caused by liver damage. Don’t have vitamin E test which might also be a clue to cause. Can be related to anemia which I have from both ET and Thalasemia which is a DNA caused iron deficiency. Would appreciate comments re topics I can research and pursue with hematologist at appointment next week. Thank you and stay safe!

Hi I have no answers only suggestions how about combining the drugs. Very low doses.

I know it can be done. I was on hu and anagrelide. I also met someone who was on a low dose of Peg and I think hu.

Appreciate your thoughtfulness, Wyebird. Will update upon feedback from doctor. Decided to call this latest ET adventure 'bite and spike' to recognize red cells that look they have been bitten and others that have pointed edges. Then there are the ovals from Thalassemia.
