Hello :-)

I have low iron since my Bypass which was about 18 months ago and is something that is now going to have to be treated

I never had it before the op though

You have had tests done and so far everything is coming back ok which is a positive :-)

They will find out the cause if this last transfusion you have had does not work and will then treat you but fingers crossed your iron levels might stay up now

Try and help your iron levels by eating food that has lot's if iron in it :-) x

If I am reading this correctly, I understand that you have had annual blood tests for your heart which fortunately came back fine, although your iron levels were lower than previously. The fact that you have had two blood transfusions suggests they were concerned about your iron levels or platelets which is probably the reason they gave you both a colonoscopy and gastroscopy which would have shown up any signs of internal bleeding. It is good news that these were negative. If you have to go back in tomorrow Thursday until Friday for more iron suggest they are doing further checks following your lethargy and breathlessness. I do hope they are able to resolve the problems for you and give you the apprpriate medication. Wishing you well.
