thyroid labs update for FET cycle
I take Ferrous tablet 4 times a week to help the
iron
levels. The
iron
side of things baffle me, i know in the past i've been provided with many links that I have taken time to read but it's quite overwhelming for me.

Has anyone ever had an Iron infusion?
I find it hard to get my levels of
iron
up despite eating red meat and green veg and supplementing, and wondered if anyone had tried an
iron
infusion either on the NHS or privately.

Meds Review.
Will now switch from Atorvastatin to Rosuvastatin but he also sent me a link to book a blood test at local hospital to check my thyroid,
iron
, b12 and vitD. He could see results of my most recent blood test for cholesterol, hb1ac, etc whilst he was talking to me.

Hypothyroidism and low ferritin
GP advised to take
iron
tablets ... 5hr gap between taking T3. This worked for a few months but I feel extremely unwell again, this time because the
iron
tablets (ferrous sulphate) are affecting absorption of T3.

So, this is crazy!
The GP's phlebotomist confirmed that there was a TSH/FT4 request AND a separate FT3 request... she did three sequential blood draws, which I was not expecting, as the GP had also requested a full
iron
panel - that I had requested previously, but was refused at that time - AND a B12/folate test - that

Not a good day
Also got a blood test this Friday to check
Iron
, B12, VitD and thyroid. Sorry for long post just needed to get things off my chest. Truth be told I'm funding the emotional/mental side of recovery the hardest, especially as everything was going so well before my "blip". Just so fed up at the moment

Melatonin
At the time my rls symptoms had totally stopped following an
iron
infusion. However, prior to actually starting the melatonin, they came back mildly. Having been on the melatonin for a month, they seem worse and rls is listed as a rare side effect.

Opioid dependancy
I have had an
iron
infusion which made no difference. My ferretin is over 200. I find it so difficult to reduce and am up all night. Pregabalin and gabapentin don't work for me . I am taking 5mg of Oxycontin which are a godsend and give me 12 hours peace.

Advice on test results
These will include various antibodies,
iron
, vit d, folate, and the repeat thyroid tests. I previously had low vitamin d and folate, but both have improved significantly over the last year with supplements.

when to stop supplementing with iron prior to iron panel blood test?
I’m getting my
iron
and ferritin levels checked. Does anyone know how long one should stop supplementing with
iron
before gettung blood drawn for these? This is in order to avoid getting incorrect results. Thank you.

The areas under my eyes look so dark, I am guessing from the lack of
iron
, as within a day or 2 of my period ending the darkness fades slightly.

Low ferritin
I have several symptoms of
iron
deficiency and just wondering if it is actually too low. GP states that is still in range. Any thoughts please?

Test result low TSH high T4
Folate is low and serum ferritin on the low side too (27ugl range 13-150)Not too sure how much
iron
supplements I should take.? From the results, have I gone hyper? What is the next step? Reducing Levothyroxin and have a new blood test in a couple of month?
