'Something detected' on grandads CT scan....
Grandad is 86 and his
iron
levels have been dropping rapidly. He had a CT scan the other week and was called in to speak to a consultant at the hospital today. A Mcmillan cancer nurse was also there. He was told that there was something on the right hand side of his colon but they don't know what.

Help with self-injecting
As a side note, I did start taking liquid
iron
and D3 about a month ago along with my daily 1000mg cyanocobalamin tablet after having a low ferritin blood result. Anyway, if anyone could please suggest needles, sizes and where to order from, I would really appreciate it very much.

How do I know if I have PA?
My issues with B12 only came to light after booking an
iron
infusion with Dr. Klein earlier this year. He asked me to stop taking any b vits for a month prior to my blood test. After 3 weeks of not taking B12 and other b complex supplements my health rapidly deteriorated.

low iron and tremor
Anyway, I checked with Google and low
iron
can cause tremors so I hope this is what is wrong and I will supplement with
iron
tablets for a month and see how I get on. Anyone else got any ideas why my levels are so low given I eat meat.

Do I need to be medicated with these results ?
My suspicion is that I have a rT3 or possibly a conversion issue caused by a few issues, which I have been working through over the years;
/ Ferritin - this I believe to be the primary issue.

help with latest results please
For reference I have Hashimotos, am gluten and dairy free, my vitamins and
iron
are ok after a long time working on them. I’m on 2 grains of Armour and have been on this dose for 6 weeks. I started on Armour on a low dose in March gradually working up to my current dose.

Can low iron cause intolerance to thyroxine?
Could my low
iron
results be the cause of this intolerance? I’m feeling totally lost with it all and just feel more and more in pain whilst taking these meds. (Bloods due next week so nothing to share rn) Thanks GTS

Ferritin and TSI results.
I stopped taking
iron
while I was undergoing investigation. I was taking 28mg
iron
bisglycinate x2 on alternate days. I intend to go back on the
iron
following polyp removal on Friday. It is possible that the bowel polyp was bleeding and I’m hoping things will normalise in time.

Keep taking the tablets!
I told her I need
iron
tablets, not B12 tablets, as my Ferritin and HB are on a slow downward slide and have been for years. No, no, she says, they're still within normal limits. Well they are - just! I despair sometimes.

This week has been rough! Introducing...
Pictured above at my
iron
infusion last week. I did better with the
iron
infusion than with my first one, which is to say I didn't look 'like death pulled through a keyhole' - not my description 🤣🤣😅 That is not to say it was great, it still made the week hard to get through.
