POTS help
I am increasing my salt intake and I’m taking
iron
vitamins. It hasnt made too much of a difference over the last 14 years. I’m hoping to find other people on here that understand what I’m going through and can possibly help me with treatment ideas or just talk about pots.

Second opinion for my daughter (ruling out thyroid, opinion on vitamins)
I think I've done just that - I don't think she's hypo, and looks like she is just
iron
anemic and needs a D supplement. Dr. recommended 60 mgs of
iron
a day + 1000 IUs of Vit D. Can someone take a look at her bloods and confirm what appears to be completely normal thyroid results?

Higher Hepcidin levels in RLS patients
Hepcidin decreases the level of
iron
by reducing dietary absorption and inhibiting
iron
release from cellular storage. Hepcidin production increases when
iron
levels rise above the normal range of 65 to 175 mcg/dL in males and 50 to 170 mcg/dL in females.

new to RLS
I’m now on
iron
supplements for a month. I’m worried the next time I see him, he will prescribe medication. He has mentioned this before and talked about compulsive disorder. Does this mean he will prescribe the dopamine medication? Do I refuse that? Many thanks!

Low B12 but Negative Parietal Cell Autoantibodies
I was found to have
iron
deficiency anaemia and was successfully treated last year), it has shown I have low B12 (173 - range 197-771) however the Parietal Cell Autoantibody test came back negative.

Iron panel interpretation please
This is a friend’s recent
iron
panel I’ve looked on rT3 adrenals where it says a low transferrin level indicates a lack of capacity for supplemental
iron
. I really don’t understand this when it’s clear her whole panel is low, including ferritin.

BTW Got
iron
tested in Oct and PCP said everything was normal, but my ferritin was 51. So here are my questions (1) anyone experience leg heaviness or weird daytime symptoms or is this likely a separate problem? (2) going to start
iron
bisglycinate.

hEDS and B12 comorbidity?
I have seen on the EDS website that deficiencies in vitamins B12 and D plus
iron
are common. Elsewhere I’ve seen the suggestion that people with hEDS might have issues with absorbing folic acid properly.

Blood test iron results
Recent blood test looking at
iron
levels / potential anaemia.
Iron
level, serum 9.0 umol/L, transferrin level, blood 2.88 g/L, transferrin saturation 14%, ferritin level, serum 12 ug/L ( Mar 2021 54 ug/L). Not had a clear assessment yet, anybody able to give an interpretation?

time to try T3
I don’t suffer as badly as many people do but maybe I’ve just forgotten what optimum is…In an attempt to lift my T3 I have been taking supplements, the usual mix notably vit D and
iron
my ferritin was low as well as good B complex, it seemed to be working my last results showed an upward trend… Just

I am now SI EOD and have had my
iron
infusion which is great. I’ve had my autoimmune blood tests back which show I don’t have an autoimmune disease or Pernicious Anaemia (results attached).

Ferritin dropping, FT3 is not great
I've read about the advice to try buy the expensive heme
iron
from the US, is that what I should do? I'm not sure what an '
iron
panel' test is, which I've read about on this forum, should I ask for this?

still confused about my iron results
I’ve now redone my
iron
panel with medichecks and have similar results to last time. I can’t work out why my ferritin continues to drop. And what I can do about it as I know I need higher ferritin levels for optimum thyroid hormone function. …………………………… Ferritin……….

High Transferrin Saturation without optimal iron levels
Hello, I am currently trying to get my
iron
levels up and they are slowly creeping in the right direction. However. My latest bloods show that my TSAT is now too high at 65% (up from 39% two months ago), and ferritin at 70ug/L (up from 65ug/L.)
