From hyper to hypo after RAI. Glad to exchange with anybody who can relate.
I wrote my story on my profile. I’ll be glad to communicate with anyone who has / had a similar experience and of course all advice is gratefully accepted. This site has been, still is a lifeline to me and I’m extremely thankful to all the generous people who have advised me here. Unfortunately, I'm

I'm sure I have an

deficiency and can't tolerate the
iodine
in any of the medications I have tried. I've been at this for a few years now and I'm at my wit's end. I have low cortisol too because of all this.

Swollen face ( parotid gland) and NDT?
My naturopath says it’s a good thing. « This is an autoimmune reaction to longstanding hypothyroidism. « I beleive it’s rather related to the
iodine
drops im also taking. Kind of detox... Did it happen to one of you here?

Duloxetine
Hi Paige, I have taken Duloxetine for 10 years. I take the highest dose of 120mg slow release once a day in the morning. I am very susceptible to drugs but apart from piling weight on I have had none. It keeps me sane. I also take Amitryptyline 20mg at night and 30/500 Codeine phosphate Paracetamol.

Opioid Analgesics. Withdrawal from patients already prescribed long term.
I despair when I see this need for a person to get a "High" from a drug. These are the people who are causing medication to become higher class drugs and in the case of Codeine, which I am fighting the MHRA and Depth of health, to being withdrawn from sensible patients who benefit from relief of pain

Is all Lugol's Iodine created equal? Many brands imply safe oral use but come with a disclaimer 'talisman use only'. help!
Are there labelling restrictions / recent guidelines that prevent companies from 'encouraging' oral use of their lugol's
iodine
? Or are there different kinds of Lugol's solution, some which are 'food grade' and some not?

Iodine excess and hyperthyroidism
The presence of thyroid autoimmunity in patients residing in
iodine
-insufficient areas who develop
iodine
-induced hyperthyroidism has not been unanimously observed. In
iodine
-sufficient areas,
iodine
-induced hyperthyroidism has been reported in euthyroid patients with previous thyroid diseases.

Vitamins /Minerals advice on Hasimoto. No levo prescribed.
I didnt use salt in my diet ( except for the products that already contain some
iodine
for instance bread , cheese etc) for a long time.... I started using sea salt 1 -1.5 years ago and noticed a change (for the better) in my energy levels.

After effects of Prostap, the menopause or codeine withdrawal? 🤦🏼♀️
Hi everyone, I’m struggling to work out what’s going on with my symptoms as they seem to be possible for all of the above! I had a total hysterectomy (kept my ovaries) on 13th March, my last Prostap injection two weeks before that and I’m working my way off 240mg of codeine. I get the worst hot sweats

She insists I get radioactive
iodine
to kill it. I am refusing and struggling. I have no symptoms. Once again in awhile I get heart palpitations. I am seeing a holistic doctor and taking vitamins. Also I have been gluten free and eating healthy.

Stage 1 endo burnt out and still hurting! Why?
Hey I wonder if I could get a bit of perspective from those who have been through the mill with endo. When I awoke from my laparoscopy over 19 days now, my consultant said that he only found a small area of active endo and an old bit of endo and got rid of both with diathermy and that by the time he

Tinnitus after RAI
I am just curious and throwing this out there! Did anyone else have onset of tinnitus after RAI treatment for their thyroid or after they started taking Levothyroxine? I swear I never had issues until after I had the above two done!
