Richters Transformation Update- Treatment
I met with the local oncologist today to do treatment plan for confirmed Richters. I will be admitted on Monday to start 5 days of DA EPOCH - R with Venetoclax for 10 days per cycle. The doctor said it will be a challenge but they will see how I tolerate it and adjust appropriately if I have any major

continuing back pain
I was diagnose with 2b Ovarian Cancer in April 22. I had surgery and 6 rounds of Chemo. I have a very supportive team . I have had an MRI , CT and spinal x-ray all have shown degenerative changes to my spine. There is no evidence of recurrence. My CA125 is 13. The problem is I’m consumed with anxiety

What to do?
Hi All, At the end of August 2023 I completed 8 rounds of docetaxel. On 9/13/23 my PSA was 5.7, 10/30/23 8.25 and 11/27/23 it’s now 16.72. This year has been a shit show. I know my MO will put me on pluvicto. Here’s my quandary: I am a single gay man. Parents gone. No siblings. All I have to really

Sudden onset of severe leg pain
Yesterday my husband was strolling about the house as usual. Last night he experienced debilitating pain in his right thigh to the point he collapsed when trying to put weight on it, and then could not sleep because of the pain. He has needed a walker for even a few steps. We visited his PCP today

Neutropenic fever landed me in the hospital after 1st Taxotere infusion
3 days after my first infusion I woke up to a cruel new world. The neuropathy I had previously dealt with in my feet lit up like a Christmas tree and had spread to the whole of both legs. Walking was nearly impossible due to the numbness, crippling weakness in both legs, and horrible pain in my ankles

BAT trial update
I commenced the trial about 2 months ago and I have now had 2 cycles of treatment consisting of testosterone injections and carboplatin infusions. 5 days ago I had my first CT and bone scans and the trial leader tells me my 3 detectable rib metastases are 'stable'. The stable assessment is good enough

was it the wrong time to take myself off ibandronic acid?
Hello folks, feeling a bit out of my depths at the moment. I am now 5 years on prednisolone and, after discovering this wonderful forum was on a very slow tapering, got to 6.5 mgs but a bad cold followed by stressful events and I’m back to 7.5 mgs. My husband has recently been diagnosed with non-hodgkins

Can anyone help with iron panel interpretation please
This is a friend’s recent iron panel Posted a couple of days ago but hoping for a better response this time I’ve looked on rT3 adrenals where it says a low transferrin level indicates a lack of capacity for supplemental iron. I really don’t understand this when it’s clear her whole panel is low,

Rising PSA
Hi, have updated my profile to reflect recent changes. A gradual increase in PSA (1.2) with the prospect of changes to treatment if it continues at the current rate and gets near to 4. The oncologist is suggesting probably chemo but I would like to know more about other options before that discussion

is there any hope for me
I haven’t posted much about my journey. I am in the USA. I have never been in true remission. I am braca neg, her2 negative, folate on at 60 % HGS. No mutations in cancer tumor or me. Diagnosed Dec 2019 stage 3c now stage 4 metastasis Here is how much I have fought: Dec2019 full debunking surgery

chemo break
my lovely mum just finished 6 rounds of carbo caelyx after recurrring 11 months from frontline. Her mid treatment scan showed a reduction in all tumours and post 6 a further reduction. She has a cold currently and ca125 is 113. Her oncologist said he’s very happy with her and they will go back to 3

Locally Advanced PC - should I accept offer of docetaxel?
Hi I'm UK based, new to Health Unlocked and just starting to get to grips with the chats. I was diagnosed August '23 with locally advanced PV. Spread has occurred to a seminal vesicle and, very slightly, to a pelvic lymph node (Oncologist called it 'subtle') Gleason of 4+5. I immediately embarked

R-CHOP Treatment
After FCR chemo 15 years ago and numerous oral medications since I am in chemo again. They tried a milder chemo to reduce my lymph nodes (they were huge). Some success, but not as much as I needed. So now I've had one round of R-CHOP. All that it has done for me so far is take my wbc's to 0.4. I'm

PSA increase nearly one year after triplet therapy (mHSPC), what's next?
Hello everyone, thank you for all your help for a year. My dad went from a high of 3103 PSA to a nadir of 44. He unfortunately couldn't reach a <1 result but it had stabilized for a few months after his docetaxel + zytiga + prednisone. Unfortunately his new result is 67 PSA exactly a year since diagnosis

ibrance
I’ve been taking ibrance with faslodex since 2018. I had to stop taking ibrance because of hospitalization (3) for infections that I needed my immune system to fight. Probably 6 months. In that time I developed nodules (small) in bowel, pelvis and cervical 2. I was taken off both ibrance and faslodex

Neuroendocrine PCa
I posted awhile back that my PCa had progressed to high grade neuroendocrine carcinoma/small cell. I was treated with 4 rounds of atezolizumab/carboplatin/etoposide (chemotherapy and immunotherapy). A pet/CT scan shows it was effective, and I fared better than I expected going in, but definitely have
