oxygen on flights
Hi I have
interstitial
lung
disease
and have some lung removed due to lung cancer. However I do not need oxygen or inhaler(lung stats of 52 pev) and am generally well. However my rheumatologist has suggested that the cabin pressure might cause me an issue when flying.

Hydroxycarbamide and lungs
I was surprised to read that this medicine can cause
interstitial
lung
disease
such as pulmonary fibrosis. I don’t remember it being mentioned on the forum. Of course some diseases with stop you from communicating freely. Any comments? Jumbo4

Has anyone been prescribed Mycophenolate for stiff and painful hands rather than for ILD?
Has anyone else been prescribed it for reasons other than
interstitial

disease
?

I have
interstitial

disease
and had a small part of lung removed due to lung cancer. My lung stats are 52 pev. I would like to fly short haul later in the year. My rheumatologist has suggested I may struggle with cabin pressure.

PMR and Parkinson's Disease
I used to also take 25mg Methotrexate weekly but this was stopped in 2022 when I was hospitalised with Methotrexate-induced
interstitial
lung
disease
(now resolved). Current situation: My GP suspects I now also have Parkinson’s Disease (PD). I saw the Neurologist on Friday.

Bands pulmonary fibrosis tomography
x-ray and linear opacities appeared, the diagnosis was
interstitial
lung
disease
, post-covid 19 sequelae, I was not given any treatment, now I started having breathing difficulties again, the pulse oximeter shows spo2 97-98%, it doesn't matter if I make an effort or sit, I have difficulties.

Methotrexate-induced lung disease
Towards the end of last year I was hospitalised for about a week with a dry cough/breathlessness that turned out to be Methotrexate-induced
Interstitial
Lung
Disease
(previous posts - cough cough cough). The MTX was stopped immediately but I was warned the damage may be permanent.

with suspected
interstitial
lung
disease
( possibly RA related) , breathing tests and CT Scan ordered, which I had in January.

interstitial

(which I haven't)?

ILD and pulmonary hypertension caused by sjogrens
sjogrens and
lung
disease
. I have alveolitis, asthma and now
interstitial
lung
disease
(ILD). My doc has now diagnosed pulmonary hypertension. My doc can find no cause for this. They did a bronchoscopy and my lungs were so inflamed they couldn’t take a sample for fear my lung would collapse.

IPF or idiopathic ILD?
So I was diagnosed with
Interstitial
Lung
Disease
in Spring 2019. The cause however has never been found even though there were a couple of hypotheses kicking around for a while - allergy to vape or aspiration of stomach acid.

Aspergillus post lung transplant.
Hi all, Haven’t been in touch for a while now but mercifully still here. Lungaversary last month which I can only describe as a stormy recovery. Trichosporon infection In clamshell wound delayed discharge by 4 weeks. 1 month in ICU with terrifying hallucinations which still haunt me today. Sternum

Bronchoscopy
My mom was diagnosed with pneumonia 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately 10 days of antibiotics were ineffective. She had a bronchoscopy today and while waiting for results, I was wondering if anybody else was in the same situation and what did the bronchoscopy show?

Exercise post surgery
Hi, I appreciate there are other more serious matters of concern but I would just like to know what types of exercise and when you started after lung surgery. I am bored with physio and less motivated to walk everyday!
