Anyone been diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease

Today I received a CT report that says I may have Interstitial Lung Disease. I have been researching to see the connection between PMR and that disease.

The prognosis is not favorable. Has anyone else been diagnosed with this disease?

Thanks for any help.

Same questions for you: What medications are you on? Have you had Covid?

Yes I have had Covid. I am only taking prednisone and loxamine an antidepressant. My lung problem was just accidentally discovered while I was on holiday in Darwin and ended up in Darwin Australia with a hip problem . The lung problem has not been looked into yet but scan showed scar tissue.

ILD is a consequence of Covid in some patients:

Covid has a lot to answer for!!!

Hmmm - I find it difficult to take that particularly seriously given how appalling the English is!! I'd have sent it back and told them to get a native speaker to correct it - or offered to do it at my usual rate!

To be honest, I think that there are a lot of questions to ask about it. I think the most likely conclusion has to be that it is a skewed population with a high rate of disputed diagnoses at least some of which should have been RA.

I have a pulmonologist appointment for the middle of July. Hard to wait to see what is next for me. I’m to have a CT scan every three to six months.

I had a mild case of Omnicrom {sp} 2021 but I believe I also had it in February of 2020 before it was announced.

My list of medication is long. Losartan/hctz, Carvedilol, 10mg of prednisone, rovustatan, famodadine and the usual vitamins and minerals. Sorry my spelling is so bad this morning.,

ILD can be a result of Covid - see my reply to Flutterbies - and I wondered about methotrexate which can cause a type of ILD but it isn't progressive.
