I have asthma and Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). I use inhalers to manage my asthma; and ambulatory oxygen for my ILD. I am under Papworth Hospital for my ILD. Twice in recent months, I have been called by my surgery to have a COPD review. The first appointment I had with the nurse confused us both, because neither she nor I knew I had COPD! So she decided to make it an asthma review instead. No problem.
Today, I have been called again despite telling them about this recent appointment, which should all be on record. Anyway, I am off again at the end of August for another COPD review!
I am confused! What's going on? Has anyone had a similar experience?

Just put them right. It is probably their computer records which are inaccurate. You know what you have. It should be on your hospital records from your consultant.
Well that's the thing, Swizzy, I have already attended an appointment only a couple of weeks ago! And the nurse updated the records to say I don't have COPD.
I have to laugh. My surgery keep calling me for heart reviewts, drug reviews, etc. Evert few weeks. I keep telling them to adjust the computer. They say that they have and then they call me again!
Confusing - I have Asthma and COPD and often used go for a COPD review and talk about Asthma. I wonder are they pidgeonholing your "Interstitial Lung Disease" in the the all inclusive COPD narrative?
Two option ring you GP and ask, or turn up for your review and ask the nurse to sort it. Whichever I don't think you can let it stand.
Ernoo7, I had an appointment with the nurse a couple of weeks ago and she updated my records and said I didn't have COPD. Yet, 2 persistent calls from the doctor this week saying that I must go for a review.
