Is it advisable to use VICTOZA even when blood sugar is fully under control with insulin ?
The victoza, a GLP 1 analogue, liraglutide, is available in injection form. Is it better than insulin if you have associated cardiac problems ? Is it safe drug with minimum side effects ? Any experience or suggestion.

Is this all pcos related?
Can pcos cause sudden anxiety caused by excess oestrogens? 2 years ago I suddenly developed severe crippling anxiety and was put on antidepressants. I noticed that things were bad when estrogen was at its highest levels in my cycle. Was put on the pill which has helped immensely, but I still don't feel

Diabetes double steroids for tax, 4, 5 and 6.
Chemo 4, tax 1...blood sugar too scary at times to monitor but with help from the district diabetes nurse who phones me daily on steriods and some extra tweeking on my part by adding another tablet, its worked just with some insulin as well. Some delays in sleep and reading at night through blurry eyes

Just joined HU to see if there is anything here that can help me. About 4 years ago, an excess of thyroid stimulation hormone in my blood tests showed my thyroid gland was struggling to create enough thyroid hormone. Is one of these T4 please? I understand that this is as a result of an autoimmune

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Mediterranean diet & the French Paradox
I don't intend to do a series on diets, so why this post on the Mediterranean diet? I had started on a "fats" post & realized that I needed to deal with the common preconception that fats are inherently bad for health. In my post on sugar, I suggested that one cannot have control over glucose, insulin

INSULIN RESISTANCE - What does it mean?
It is cited as the cause of diabetics in general. The treatment methods we are going through leaves me confused very much. The medication we are following at present is to change the structure of the insulin secreted by the system or to be supportive for the cells so as to enable them to make use
