Wife has check with Asthma nurse on Tuesday
Hello, My wife hasn’t had this check since we moved here 5 years ago when the nurse said due to her having Bronxhectasis and an aspergillus growth in one lung that my wife probably knew more about her treatment than she did and they wouldn’t bother with another appointment. At our previous address

Fostair.
has anyone on Fostair found that they have a sore tongue all the time despite washing my mouth out after. I’ve had this a long time now. With lockdown and everything I didn’t like to bother the Drs with a petty sore tongue. I spoke to the Dentist and I spoke to the Chemist and they both said to speak

Could this be asthma? PFT results
23F, 123lbs, 10 years daily smoking marijuana. For 3 years I've had chronic daily phlegm - like hocking up a loogie. I started getting chest pains and some shortness of breath after quitting smoking 2 months ago. I have been on Flovent inhaler for 2 months but nothing before this. My PFT seems indicative

Stopping inhalers prior investigation.
Im panicking to say the least I feel I will end up in hospital if I don't take my
inhalers
as I'm very unstable anyway I get breathless wheeze and cough very easily. My Gp increased seretide in October to 4 puff twice daily I've tried dropping back to 2 twice a day but I struggle.

Incruse Ellipta 55 (umeclidinium bromide)
I have a question about the Incruse Ellipta inhaler. It was written for me for the treatment of asthma, I read the leaflet and it says it is intended for the treatment of COPD. It worried me because I have asthma and not COPD. Have any of you been prescribed this asthma inhaler? Thanks for all the

Neighbours Scented products.
Hi, does any one on this forum experience breathing problems because of neighbours scented products? Our neighbour's bathroom window is unusually close to our home, I have problems with a fragrance when their window is open that smells strongly to me, and affects my breathing to the point I have

thank goodness for pharmacists!
I am lucky enough to be going away for 3 months from August for a once in a lifetime trip. Planning ahead I asked my GP for 3 months asthma and osteoporosis medication from August. The Fostair 200 inhaler is a restricted item in my CCG, ( only one a month), so I was delighted that this didn’t seem to

GP won't increase my inhaler for winter
If I tell him I'm struggling, he goes on about how 'really bad' steroid
inhalers
are and how I need to keep the dose as low as possible. And I'm thinking 'however bad they are, NOT BEING ABLE TO BREATHE IS WORSE!'

Drug induced Parkinsons
I want to say that some of you Parkies might do a little research on the other drugs you are taking. That might be certain drugs that are called “Atypical antipsychotics” Here is a list of just a few other common drugs in that list. I hope this may help a few of you. There are also some other

Why !!!
My breathing has not been good lately, possibly because of a faulty inhaler, so I went for a COPD review . My peak flow was very low for me, 290 , so was given forms for blood tests and chest x ray. The next evening my breathing seemed worse as I was having difficulty drying myself after a shower. BUT

Trimbow inhaler
So a few weeks back I started using my ventolin a bit too much on low barometric pressure days up to 6 times daily when weather was like this... my other inhaler was spiriva respimat .. Move forward to appointment with nurse at GP practice .. offered me a choice of spiolto or trimbow to see if this

Relvar step down
I’ve found in the past that some GP asthma advice on
inhalers
is patchy (suggesting she take her seretide back when she was on it only once a day despite her asthma being uncontrolled at that point) so would like to know what other people are on please before appt. Thank you!
