Inhaler allergies
Basically after trying out new
inhalers
, Asthmanex, easyhaler, symbicourt and few others, I am allergic to the ingredients in them, I get a sunburn like rash, flaky skin and feel dreadful.

oxygen usage
I had an assessment with an oxygen lady today. she has told me I should only use the ambulatory oxygen when I go out. I use the concentrater over night at 2. I asked her what I should use during the day when I’m home. According to her I should only use the blue inhaler when I get out of breath and

Inhaler adherence/use your spacer
I am possibly going to take part in a study for inhaler adherence. When speaking to the Dr running the study, she told me that many people do not take their inhaler correctly, and it makes such a difference to your condition. Using a spacer can make a difference of 30% more of your medication getting

Covid causing Asthma flare
I had Covid nearly two weeks ago and I've been left with this lingering cough and occasional breathlessness and I've also been finding that I'm using my Ventolin inhaler more, my chest doesn't feel tight but sometimes i just get very out of breath and it's hard to catch my breath. I've found that box

Weird form of asthma
All my life I've had asthma in May June due to grass pollen. I moved to Cornwall and now its every day. I've been to consultants but they're baffled. No inhaler works on it above 5% , youcan imagine what that's like and they avoid me. I have a normal FeNO of 11 which is what gets to them. The severity

Inhaler causing A Fib
The next day after using one of my
inhalers
Incruse Ellipta I felt kinda off. My blood pressure was quite high 148/99. The next day the same thing happened. Today I woke up and my BP was still high 150/100. Then later in the day it went up to 177/104.

No More Ventolin?
Just put my repeat prescription in to be told Ventolin can't be issued because I already have a regular inhaler, the RelvarEllipta. I have talked myself hoarse explaining that the Relvar is a MAINTENANCE inhaler and the Ventolin is a RELIEVER inhaler without getting anywhere. I've literally just had

Visiting Japan / Tree Pollen
Hi everyone, my daughter is doing a year abroad in Japan for her university course and I am contemplating making the trip of a lifetime next year with my husband to go there, maybe early March or in May, to see her and see a bit of the country. I had very bad asthma as a child (58 now!) but have been

I was at GP last Tuesday as my asthma was very bad following a cold. Having to take my reliever 4 times every 4 hours. No temp or cough etc so given 7 days of 30mg Pred. Monday finished course, felt much worse, sore throat, aches etc. Still no temperature. Bad attack 4am with racing heart, BP 165/102

Invited For Covid Jab
I had a text this morning urging me to book in for a covid booster much to my surpise. I'm not sure what my elibility is based on, I'm not over 65, not diabetic or immunosuppressed. No kidney or heart problems. Certainly not pregnant. I dont have a serious lung condition. I do have asthma and use

Are biologics (Xolair, Dupixent, Nucala or Fasenra) really worth the cost & side effects
For those who take one of these biologics - would you recommend them to someone who has relatively well controlled asthma with use of
inhalers
?

Incorrect Hospital Records
Hi, I’ve been having some problems with the respiratory team and requested a copy of my hospital records, which I’ve received. After going through them, there’s lots of information missing and details which are incorrect. I’m a severe asthmatic, and the consultant has now noted “no definitive diagnosis

This is a long one
I now take nine pills a day, have three
inhalers
(that’s due to the illnesses were not allowed to discuss) and I’m in agony with arthritis because I can’t exercise like I used to. Now I’m in so much pain I go and see my GP. With me so far? I had one heck of a row with her.

W8 r1 awful.
Well, I had been too worked up before I started this run so breathing all wrong. I set off after the walk but had to stop for inhaler. Set off again and had to stop coz I couldn't hear Steve. Hearing aids not connected to blue tooth. I did pause the run each time. Now I carried on feeling much better

WHAT TO DO
Hi everyone , what a lovely change in the weather . Hopefully it will stay all weekend. Now I went to the nurse the other day and she is saying I have not had a review of my COPD . But the nurse did one in June and tried me on a different inhaler however it seems the practice nurse who has now retired

Cortisol result help in interpreting please
Cortisol levels will rise briefly after eating, and also rise in response to stress and in those taking steroids (even as creams or asthma
inhalers
). Correlation with a serum sample taken around 9am would be useful. Repeat 24 hour collection also could be considered to check for consistency.'

dilemma
so continuing on from my last post. My daughter is still suffering with her Asthma. And taking a very large amount of Ventolin over nearly 2 weeks. Every time we see the nurse they listen to her chest and say she’s fine. No wheeze she’s fine! But that’s because she’s just taken her inhaler in a few

Last year my chemist gave me salamol instead of salbutamol, I took nearly all of the inhaler as it dident help me at all, so my doctor told my chemist I needed salbutamol, but the chemist is saying it's exactly the same, I don't find this at all, iv just looked it up and the salamol is a lot cheaper
