On Tuesday I had an episode of a fib. It lasted 16 hours. I take metoprolol Succinate Er 25mg. The next day after using one of my inhalers Incruse Ellipta I felt kinda off. My blood pressure was quite high 148/99. The next day the same thing happened. Today I woke up and my BP was still high 150/100. Then later in the day it went up to 177/104. I started to feel really off , lightheaded and dizzy. I went to the ER and I wasn’t in a fib and all blood work normal. They kept me most of the day and by the time I was discharged my BP was down to normal. Am wondering if this inhaler is what is giving me A fib. Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

Hope you’re feeling better today. I’m newly diagnosed PAF and use an inhaler for allergies and asthma and I checked this with my cardiologist ( about continuing with my inhaler) and he advised that it was fine.
It may be different for others depending on their medication plan but it’s made no difference for me.
Hope this helps and sending lots of get well wishes from Scotland 🏴.
I have symptomless AF and ACOS (Asthma with overlapping chronic bronchitis i.e mild COPD). When by chance I was diagnosed with AFib (it's familial, and it really was a matter of time before diagnosis) the Cardiologist immediately removed all my various asthma inhalers with the exception of Symbicord by Astra Zeneca, because he considered them harmful to my heart. I take two puffs in the morning and two in the evening and can take extra if needed, I also do breathing exercises and have bought an Air Physio which helps clear the lungs. I'm in South Africa and I know different countries have different protocols, but the minimum of inhalers works for me.
