newly diagnosed COPD
Hi I’m new to this forum . I have had asthma for years and at my latest review I had a spirometery test. I was completely floored when the nurse said I had COPD and gave me a leaflet and a new inhaler Anoro Ellipta. my parents were both very heavy smokers but I have never smoked. My dad had emphysema

Provisional diagnosis...does it sound like allergic asthma?
I have a provisional asthma diagnosis from GP, and have been on the lowest dose of reliever and preventer
inhalers
for three months.

2 year old asthma
Hi, it looks as though my little girl has asthma. She has all the symptoms & has already been in hospital 3 times treated for an asthma attack. Because she’s under 5 they are very wary of diagnosing her at the moment, however she does have a brown inhaler which she has before bed & in the morning plus

Allegra for asthma?
Getting Xolair, anti-IL5 mAbs, prednisone,
inhalers
and other drugs was super-easy. But I still get very chest-tight due to the high pollen counts. I believe here the pollen-triggered asthma is worse, b.c. of the warmer climate and more vegetation.

Good evening, My 7 year old daughter as been suffering with a really bad flare up with her asthma, which before now has never bothered her. We are now in week 4 of this and she has had 2 bouts of tonsillitis and 2 ear infections along with a constant persistent cough. We have seen countless GP’s

Trauma
Hi, to cut long story short. After finding what works finally for my copd I found myself getting out of breath rather than breathless which was brilliant. Then I had covid which was a pain but got over it. Took our dogs for a walk last Friday and the smallest one was attacked by 2 dogs that got out

Still don’t really know if I have asthma or not
Hi, I know I’ve posted similar to this before but I suppose it’s because I don’t know where I stand in terms of breathing/ asthma status I do also have anxiety which I’ve received help for but I still feel on edge with the whole I might have asthma thing. I have had tests which haven’t revealed anything

Do exacerbations follow exacerbations?
Hi all, You may have seen my other thread. I am a man in my early forties and had a rude awakening to asthma with an almost two week hospital stay about 1.5 months ago with lots of mucus in lungs and for one week I was on oxygen. Last week I got a cold which quickly went to my chest leaving me clogged

hayfever triggering asthma
my gp and got a call back I relayed the information I was told to ask for eg asking for 180mg fexofenadine to help get my hayfever under control I was told I wasn’t allowed it as that strength is only prescribed for urticaria and for seasonal allergies the max dose is 120mg so I then asked about my

Has anyone been changed to Luforbec as a preventer inhaler
I have just been swapped from Clenil Modulite to Luforbec, I 'm a bit worried as I have moderate Aortic stenosis, Instructions say to take extra care with this medicine .

Luforbec.
Having read a few posts about issues with Luforbec, I would like to add that I've just gone back on Fostair after being so fed up with Luforbec that I even offered to pay for Fostair. The biggest issue has been the difficulty with the device giving me one dose with each press. I had to ditch one inhaler

Asthma during respiratory infections
Hi, I've been asthmatic since I was 2 years old and am now considerably older than that. Despite 45 years of experience I really don't have a good understanding of what to expect from asthma management. I use a low dose Flixotide preventer inhaler every day and salbutamol when required. Day to day you

Week4 Run3
Completed run 3 yesterday, really enjoyed the run and tried running the first two segments slower so that I could pick up the pace on the last two run segments, I did achieve that, but it made very little difference to my overall time, I think my asthma is improving, but I have been a bit more vigilant

it feels like I'll never get better
Hi! I've had constant air hunger every day since June. During my early teens, I was diagnosed with asthma caused by cats. I got prescribed Ventolin which I used when in contact with cats, it helped. I never had any other issues with asthma. As I was young, the allergy tests only confirmed me being

Newbie
Hi, I'm new here and looking forward to getting to know others who are in the "same boat" as it were. I was only diagnosed in June and am struggling to come to terms with it, also to get the meds right. I have a review on Friday as it seems the inhaler I was given may not be right for me. It's all

Inhaler
Hi all, I haven't been on for awhile however, I do read all of your posts. My GP has put me on the Respimat Inhaler. I was wondering if any of you have used this and if so, have you had any relief from a tight chest and dry cough.

Inhaler allergies
Basically after trying out new
inhalers
, Asthmanex, easyhaler, symbicourt and few others, I am allergic to the ingredients in them, I get a sunburn like rash, flaky skin and feel dreadful.
