Asthma without infection
Brief history. Moved north to West Yorkshire in 1974 (aged 29). Started with beathing difficulties. Had allergy tests and a course of desensitisation injections, which worked, but whenever I caught a cold, it morphed into a sore throat and chest infection leading to gasping for breath. Major attack

Clenil inhaler: headaches, restless legs, insomnia, hunger.
Post covid I have a chronic mucus cough so my GP has switched me to Clenil from Flixotide. Having never previously had any side effects from Flixotide, I now have headaches, restless legs, insomnia and hunger from the Clenil. Thoughts?

Function of COPD nurse at GP surgery
Ive been struggling with Sob for the past two weeks. Maintenance inhaler Trelegy doesn't seem to give me relief. Booked an appoinment with COPD nurse for assistance as I'm exhausted with struggling to breathe. At the appointment COPD nurse said I should speak to the GP . She offered to change my inhaler

No diagnosis
I am desparate tonight. I've woken and coughed myself fruitlessly into a panic, after spending the last 2 weeks trying to stop coughing fairly successfully. Over the last few months, I've tried to see a doctor, but only see respiratory nurses. They tried 2 courses of antibiotics with prednisolone. Wheezing

no wheeze
I feel like the nurse isn’t listening! My daughters asthma has gradually been getting worse since Friday and taking Ventolin daily. Oxygen been around 95. Usual peek around 360 today was 220. She’s complaining of being tight but the nurse said there’s no wheeze and oxygens at 96 when at doctors so there

Upset about inhalers
The problem is my surgery keeps giving me powder
inhalers
. I don’t like them. The powder ends up on my tongue (I have a big tongue !). I can’t get the technique right and give me thrush despite rinsing and brushing my teeth every time.

Odd episode.
This am: took my meds (nothing new), used my new but long prescribed Anoro. Then had breakfast. Suddenly, during breakfast, felt very ill, gasping for breath and all over body aching. Had to lie down. Tested: temperature 36.1; pulse 80; but oxygen saturation just 88. Used Salmon inhaler (prompted

Do you have asthma or a lung condition? Have you changed to a lower-carbon inhaler and found it works well for you?

QVAR problems
I have had so many problems with their
inhalers
, even when they redesigned them - so now I just open the lid, put it up to my mouth and deeply inhale, rather than squeezing to actuate it. However, sometimes when I’m done with my inhalation, a large puff of medication just shoots out.

toothpaste trigger?
last night when I was brushing my teeth my asthma really kicked off, I couldn’t breathe out so couldn’t breathe in. Luckily I had an inhaler in the bathroom. I’ve struggled to breathe when brushing my teeth before but never as badly as this. Does anyone else struggle with toothpaste? Is sensitivity

Steroid inhalers
Hi, I can’t use steroid
inhalers
, I have severe reactions to them, and 2 have actually given me an asthma attack, blue lights on the ambulance. No one believed me and 3 times I tried them and the same thing happened each time. I have tried numerous ones, each with a bad reaction.

powdered inhalers
Hi everyone Just wanted to share some good news for me that may help you too. I switched from Seretide 500 Evohaler (the spray/aerosol type). to the Accuhaler (powdered version) in summer last year. I suggested it purely as I was at my wits end, I tried every other inhaler going and none of them worked

Why am I losing my voice
Hi AllI am on Relvar Ellipta inhaler for my COPD which has been really good for me. No cough, no breathlessness, little mucus. However my voice is different and sometimes I am really croaky. I drink lots throughout the day ( not alcohol leave that to a few night's a week). Has anyone else had this

gtn spray
I also have severe COPD for which I use various
inhalers
, I was just wondering would the GTN spray be beneficial to me for help with breathlessness? for example when climbing stairs? Many thanks John.

Impromptu Run on a sunny day
Inhalers
on board today and Hayfever under control! This run felt more like my old running self jogging along quite happily! As I said before I set mental markers on my runs! So ran from the park out to the lake round the whole lake watching the geese swans & ducks on the water!
