I have not got an asthma diagnosis, but had inhalers (salbutamol, Clenil, Fostair) for 18 months after suspected Covid in March 2020. I stopped using them after I stopped noticing a benefit, and by then I had a breast cancer diagnosis so I had more to worry about. My breathing seemed fine other than

oxygen usage
I had an assessment with an oxygen lady today. she has told me I should only use the ambulatory oxygen when I go out. I use the concentrater over night at 2. I asked her what I should use during the day when I’m home. According to her I should only use the blue inhaler when I get out of breath and

Inhaler adherence/use your spacer
I am possibly going to take part in a study for inhaler adherence. When speaking to the Dr running the study, she told me that many people do not take their inhaler correctly, and it makes such a difference to your condition. Using a spacer can make a difference of 30% more of your medication getting

Weird form of asthma
All my life I've had asthma in May June due to grass pollen. I moved to Cornwall and now its every day. I've been to consultants but they're baffled. No inhaler works on it above 5% , youcan imagine what that's like and they avoid me. I have a normal FeNO of 11 which is what gets to them. The severity

pulmonary fibrosis
hi all, I joined recently looking for advice for my husband PF, and copd. He has two inhalers, Trimbow and ventolin. He can’t walk 10 steps without getting breathless. Putting his shoes on he’s breathless. So I measured for oxygen which drops to 82, sit down do nothing and it’ll come back up to 94 within

Breathlessness... feels constant
I'm starting to feel constantly out of breath. I've had my heart checked, I do have asthma however the inhalers don't seem to help and both cardiologist and asthma nurse are adamant this isn't from my breathing.. I can only assume at this point that my anxiety is once again taking a hold on me. My issue

No More Ventolin?
Just put my repeat prescription in to be told Ventolin can't be issued because I already have a regular inhaler, the RelvarEllipta. I have talked myself hoarse explaining that the Relvar is a MAINTENANCE inhaler and the Ventolin is a RELIEVER inhaler without getting anywhere. I've literally just had

Visiting Japan / Tree Pollen
Hi everyone, my daughter is doing a year abroad in Japan for her university course and I am contemplating making the trip of a lifetime next year with my husband to go there, maybe early March or in May, to see her and see a bit of the country. I had very bad asthma as a child (58 now!) but have been

Incorrect Hospital Records
Hi, I’ve been having some problems with the respiratory team and requested a copy of my hospital records, which I’ve received. After going through them, there’s lots of information missing and details which are incorrect. I’m a severe asthmatic, and the consultant has now noted “no definitive diagnosis

Hypothetical question- would a GP/endocrinologist have to keep prescribing for you if you refused blood tests
This is a hypothetical question. If you were doing your own private blood tests and happy with the results, but the usual thing of slightly reduced TSH , which you know freaks out the GP (‘your TSH is too low, reduce the dose’) and potentially the endocrinologist (‘we like to aim for normal range’) it

getting a diagnosis
my son had persistent dry cough as a child, no inhalers worked but he never saw a specialist. A course of oral steroids sorted him out for a good while. He is now 23 and a professional singer, classically trained but suffers with reflux, persistent cough, and gets every virus on his chest. Recently
