Prostap injection
Hey! I had my laparoscopy on Monday and yesterday I had my first prostap injection. I was told that for the first 1-2 weeks following the injection my pain could get worse as my oestrogen levels will raise before dropping. Has anyone else had this injection before, and what was your experiance? Also

Right.. here we go again
So not the best nights sleep and awoken to mixed feelings. We go for our prostap injection at 7. 45 this morning. Perhaps it's the mega early start and thought of prostap before breakfast that is making my stomach turn!!! I feel more relaxed this time but still nervous as this is our 2nd but last nhs

Prostap Advice
Hi guys! So today I had my first appointment with my new gynaecologist since moving away from home. I had a laparoscopy in June 2015 - and since then have been on multiple contraceptive options to try and stop bleeding. So am quite sceptical about starting prostap after not having the best experience

Prostap - how long for menopause to kick in?
I have now been on it for 2 weeks - already had several days of painful bleeding but this seems to have stopped and I'm trying to work out if I've gone into menopause yet. I had decapeptyl before but I took HRT with it which I don't have this time so I can't tell from the side effects if I am up or down

An Introduction to my womb
Hey, I recently got diagnosed with endometriosis (like literally yesterday). I originally went to A&E with right abdominal pain, which a CT scan later showed was a large cyst, I had my laparoscopy yesterday and was diagnosed with this condition. Truthfully, I had never heard of it and the thought of

Struggling after prostap
Hi I am currently in limbo land between my last prostap injection (I was on it for 11 months) and a total hysterectomy. Prostap was absolutely amazing for me, side effects weren't too bad and I was pain free for the first time in so long! My last injection was a 1 month dose on 14th October and I feel

Prostap - continue not continue?
I was diagnosed, in 2012, with Fibroids at the time the doctor told me that when I reached the menopause the fibroids would disappear and just 'hang in there'! So I 'hung in there' until the summer 2016 when the side effects become too much. My GP confirmed that he fibroids had grown and as such I was

Prostap for PMMD
Hello everyone I'm in my second week since my prostap injection. I take livial hrt and so far it's been amazing I feel so different. Mood swings and depression gone. I am delighted. However I stated bleeding yesterday, it's heavier than usual. I wasn't expecting to bleed at all. I've had to go back

Everything crossed for 2017
Hi everyone, I know it's a little late but happy new year and I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. After 2016 was spent enduring 3 rounds of IVF (2 fresh, 1 fet) all of which failed we are hoping this year proves to be more positive 🙏🏻 It didn't start so fantastically though, our (nhs) clinic is

Prostap stopped after 14 months - offered Esmya until TAH BSO surgery
Hi there, I'm diagnised with stage IV Endo, Adeno, x2 large Fibroids and x1 Uterine polyp. I've been having Prostap injections for the past 14 months but my gynae surgeon has now stopped these due to a deterioration in ky kideny functioning (now stage 3 CKD) - not sure whether the Prostap has caused

My 'not so brief' story into AF and beyond !! (hopefully)
Hi, I have been monitoring this site for some time now and would like to take the opportunity of thanking each and every person who has taken the time to contribute to it, regularly or not. Sometimes even one little piece of information is the missing bit in the jigsaw puzzle of AF which makes attempting

Appt at BSGE centre yesterday
Had my follow up at my bsge centre yesterday so I could consent for my next surgery. Sadly it was a pretty rubbish experience and I'm still feeling a bit battered by it today :/ They were running late and I had to wait nearly 2 hours to be seen and was then seen by a registrar that I'd never met before

How do you talk to your partner about how you feel/what's going on?
Hey ladies, Hope you're all well! I've been with my Fiancé for 6 & a half years. I met him when I was 14 years old and he was 16. When we met I had a disability and was on crutches due to having Perthes Disease. I had a hip replacement in 2015 aged 19 so my hip is much better and I'm no longer on crutches

Round 2 and even more confused
So all gearing up for round 2 long protocol Icsi. This is our last funded attempt and I have all sorts of feelings. We requested a consultation with a consultant which is tomorrow after our failed first attempt in October. I have my prostap injection on 27th jan. when I phoned yesterday to book treatment
