T4 remains low in spite of medication
I was first diagnosed with hypothyroidism many years ago by Dr Peatfield, and was medicated (Armour) until I emigrated in 2000. At that time I could no longer access meds from Dr P, and could not get diagnosed where I was. Fast forward 17 years (without treatment) and I returned home and started the

Good afternoon ThyriodUk I have had my results back from the GP for my thyroid as I have Graves which has been fine for a few year now, so just have thyroid bloods done when they allow them so it’s not every year, should they be done more often. Feeling really tired and just not myself! Is this

Travellers Diarrhea
Has anyone ever been abroad before and came back with diarrhea? I actually managed to get through 12 hour flights and 3 weeks in Brazil with only a couple of bad episodes .. thanks to Imodium helping me through. The day we were due to fly my stomach was so bad which was not unusual for me with anxiety

good morning, I’ve just received my advanced thyroid panel from medichecks and I hoped someone could interpret them for me please? A bit of history, I developed an overactive thyroid with graves and t.e.d in 2001, I had radio iodine which obviously knocked me underactive. I got put straight on levothyroxine

chronic diarrhoea 4 days.
I honestly feel like just stopping the prednisolone. It’s one thing after another. Nothing is staying in my stomach and I feel so weak. Any advice appreciated. Do I take Imodium? 🙏

Medication for subclinical hypothyroidism
Hi everyone, I've posted here before regarding subclinical hypothyroidism, not sure what is causing it. I've ruled out celiac disease, I'm trying to take iron and b12 everyday, but still my tsh is consistently high. My GP has agreed to trial 25mg levothyroxine. I'm really worried after reading how

Will lower dose of Nintedanib stop the terrible side effects?
After a long wait, a bronchoscopy and endless CT scans and lung function tests, I finally started on the standard dose of 2 x 150 mg Nintedanib at the end of February. The first few weeks weren’t too bad, my gut was unhappy and I experienced the expected diarrhoea. Took Imodium as advised. But then

Sent recent MMH to GP
My results demonstrate very poor T3 conversion +now await to see if she will agree to blood tests for vit levels for Vit D, B12, ferritin etc. May I ask, if she believes these are 'within range' (that's if she agrees to the blood tests), what can I do to improve these levels? Presently I take D3/K2+B12

I think I might need a second opinion regarding my Behçet’s diagnosis & management. What do you think?
Hi Everyone. I posted a long while back, but I'm looking for some advice again & would really appreciate your input. I'm feeling a bit lost & don't know what to do. Hashimoto to Graves
Hi All, I have been lurking as a member for >8years following a diagnosis of Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I have been managed with varying doses of levothyroxine, follow a gluten-free diet and supplement with B12, Fe and Vit D oral sprays. Having gained weight during Covid, I decided to make a conscious

kidney stones??
for the last week or so I have been suffering with intermittent severe sharp pains in the area of my right kidney. No warning and happens around 5 to 10 times each day. Never while I’m lying down, sometimes when I stand up or turn while sitting and sometime when I’m standing and bend. It’s very painful
