Keytruda Immunotheraoy
Dear All, I am about to start Keytruda as my blood tests shows mismatched repair deficiency for which
immunotherapy
is advised. I have chronic asthma and so am really scared that the treatment may harm my lungs. I have read that keytruda can have bad side effects.

Memory books; letters to family for after I pass on (which I hope is a long time)!
Please know my new mantra is I’m living with stage 4; not dying from it and I will survive until a cure is released (personally I think it will be
immunotherapy
and or combinations of targeted therapy with the unknown “magic bullet” that I’m sure may well be lurking unbeknownst to us in clinical trials

New prostate cancer treatment concept
Recent clinical trials have hinted that combining
immunotherapy
and radiation therapy may be a powerful treatment approach for castration-resistant prostate cancer. https://medicalxpress.com/news/2019-08-prostate-cancer-treatment-concept.html

Sadly, TIL Trial has ended for my husband
Our VCU doc did mention NIVO as a possibility, but Wayne has already had Keytruda and Yervoy, and TIL as immunotherapies, so the doc will need to explain to me what the last
immunotherapy
has that the others have not.

KRAS experience?
My doctor says she has many long term patients but that they all have variants and are on
immunotherapy
drugs. A 2nd opinion from MD Anderson said I should keep doing what I'm doing but I'm starting to feel less than optimistic.

17 years with metastatic prostate cancer - operation 2 and a dance with Lu
Apparently, this is a good thing, in the sense that it means
immunotherapy
/targeted
immunotherapy
is more likely to work. So that’s a possible route to go down in the future - although my BRAC2 mutation was supposed to make Olaparib work, and it didn’t.

Treatment Delayed
Hi everyone I was due to start
immunotherapy
last Wednesday but woke with a fever and breathlessness. The GP sent me to hospital where I was admitted with pneumonia. It took a few days to get the right antibiotics but I'm now feeling a lot better and hoping to be out in a day or two.

immunotherapy
. I start treatment on Weds and will continue every 6 weeks with a scan after week 12. Fingers crossed it will work.

Hiccups after chemotherapy
My husband started chemotherapy with
immunotherapy
on Monday. With it he had to take dexamethasone steroids and has had hiccups ever since. He had chemotherapy for 4 sessions at the end of last year and had hiccups but they went as soon as he finishes taking the steroids.
