ITP – Need more options
In September 2014 I was diagnosed with ITP. I found out due to a cold and routine check up. I have tried, Prednisone, IVIG, Rituxan, MMF, Nplate and a few others I can't think of at the moment. The only drug that seems to work is Nplate although the weekly Dr visit are not fun. Without drugs my count

Immunoglobulins
My immunoglobulins were checked recently and they all came back as normal/at the low end of the scale. Does this mean that I don't have lupus? Are they always raised in lupus?

Advise urgently needed to interpret "bloods"
There appears to be a suppression of normal
immunoglobulin
production. The band is identified as IgG lambda, I stupidly did some"Dr Googling" on this and kept getting links to myeloma. This to me suggests secondary cancer and real trouble.

Stages?
Could anyone explain what what the various stages are as I haven't a clue. The letter diagnosing me from the specialist was vague at best. It just says that the gamma GT is 38 just above the normal 35 and igM was marginally elevated. In her words "I therefore guess we do have the diagnostic criteria

Got some tests results back...
Looks like I don't have APS based on these test results. Also dr said they were normal, but still wanted to run them. Here goes, may have missed one...nurse copied results more than once and interpretative information from the lab all ran together... Anti Phospholipid panel: Phosphatidyl serine Antibody

High Anti-beta2-glycoprotein-1 test results - advice needed.
Hi, I've just had Hughes Screening blood tests done via Medichecks. Everything was within range normal except for BETA-2-GLYCOPROT 1 ABS: IGG and BETA-2-GLYCOPROT 1 ABS: IGM. Both were just out of range high, i.e. both were 20 in a range of 0.000 - 19.990. I believe that I should have these retested

When is FISH testing done?
Cannot break the cycle of upper respiratory infections so he is working to try and get insurance to approve
immunoglobulin
therapy. He said my antibodies are low enough that hopefully they will approve. Says it is easier to get private insurance to approve than Medicare (US).

Chronic itp. Latest treatment is rituximab
Hi all, I was diagnosed with itp in July last year and wrote a couple of posts at the time. Sorry haven't been in touch for sometime; it was greatly reassuring to talk to other people about their experiences at the time and people were very kind. It's fair to say it's been a bit of a roller coaster ride
