Experience with the Mirena Coil for Endo
Hello, After not getting on with side effects of Prostap, my gynae is proposing to trial the Mirena Coil. I'm due to have it fitted at the end of this month. I've heard mixed reviews - from horror stories (re side effects) to success stories! I just wondered if anyone who's had the coil could share

Total hysterectomy without HRT?
Hi, I had a total hysterectomy three weeks ago for severe endometriosis and adenomyosis. I have been offered oestrogen HRT but I’m reluctant to use it because of the endometriosis and bad reactions to the pill and coil in the past. I am trying herbal remedies and don’t feel too bad. Can anyone tell

Newly diagnosed and needing help
Hi, I was diagnosed with a 6cm cyst which they thought might be cancer but now they're saying it's endometriosis. The gyne unit at the hospital have said they'll put me on the "very long" waiting list to see the endo team - in the meantime I should take paracetamol when the pain is bad and consider

Mini Pill vs Hormonal Coil
When will the mini pull become affective. I’ve been on the mini pill for about 3 1/2 months after being discharged from hospital and I’m bleeding everyday. I’ve been passing large clumps of tissue and clots the size of my hand. The pain is still there and I’m constantly exhausted as I’ve been bleeding

Anybody had an ICD removed for personal reasons?
I have had my
icd
for around 2.5 years now (I have inherited hypertrophic cardiomyopathy!) and really don’t get on with the
ICD
. I feel it is unnecessary as it has never administered any therapeutic shocks or picked anything up particularly shocking (pardon the pun!)

Update and advice please - new blood results
Given I have congenital heart defects, had two open heart surgeries and have an
ICD
in situ the cholesterol level scares me even more so than it ever did, even though it was already cause for concern. My endo has suggested more vit D, and increasing my Levo to 75mg.

Coil
Hi all, just in two minds whether to have a coil fitted in. Can you tell me where you had yours done I.e sexual health clinic within the hospital or just a local gp/clinic. my specialist recommended to get it within the hospital as the nurses are better at inserting.

Don’t know anymore
I just don’t know what’s wrong with me. I just feel so unstable. I’m waiting on a call from a mental health team that I’ve been waiting on since the 8th of December. I have severe anxiety and panic disorder. I now struggle with what I think is major depressive disorder. I also have ocd and obsessive

Hyperplasia
Hello ladies, I've recently been diagnosed with hyperplasia and need to have treatment. So I have had the merina coil fitted on the 1st of Nov. Started bleeding on the 7th Nov and haven't stopped yet... keep going through cycles of heaviness, has anyone had the same experience? Tia xx

S-ICD
New to this so still trying to figure out some things, will be 4 months post S-
ICD
implant and still trying to process everything, feeling slightly lost, anxiety is setting in about the future. I am young, I was fairly active, any one else in the same position? what's everyone's experience?

Discomfort from ICD fitted five months ago
Hi Has anyone here had to have the
ICD
refitted? DH says he is in constant pain from the implant site and it is stopping him from taking walksoutside the house since he gsts random shooting pains - not at every step, but bad enough to make him want to avoid it.

Visanne - where do I buy it?
Hi all, I was recently diagnosed via lap in Oct (Stage 2). I can't handle Progesterone-only or the combined pill because I have had migraines with both, so bizarrely; my consultant has prescribed Visanne (another progesterone?!) as a last option as I won't get the coil. She told me that the NHS won't
