Scared of what they'll find in Lap!
I went for a
hysteroscopy
a few weeks later and it was singularly the most awful experience of my life. It was absolute agony - I have never, ever, ever experienced pain like that, particularly around my cervix.

Abnormal period/bleeding (sorry if too descriptive/disgusting)
I convinced myself that it was just a period, and continued to take my another pack of pills as soon as finishing the last pack (as advised by the Gyne, as he wants me to try and put off my periods until after I've had my Laparoscopy,
Hysteroscopy
and cauterise some possible cervical erosion) but now

Hi all, just had OPA and consented for Laparoscopy & hysteroscopy to to investigate possible endometriosis. I have 2 questions really,
1. how painful is the proceedure & how long should I need off work? and 2. is it true that becoming pregnant actually helps resolve endo? (that is if able to concieve in the first place) Many thanks.

Shoulder gas pain after hysteroscopy?
I'm finally having a
hysteroscopy
tomorrow to remove the mirena coil, after nearly a whole year of trying to have it removed. Thank goodness.

Feeling rough
Feeling sore and exhausted after my
hysteroscopy
on Tuesday. I always find that any kind of test/ procedure knocks me out but I guess that's all part of this horrible condition. Got to go to a family wedding tomorrow ( his side) and am dreading it as I feel so rough, but I will have to go.

How painful is hysteroscopy under general?
Last August I had a mirena coil fitted during a lap - due to various problems, I now have to have a
hysteroscopy
under GA to have it removed.

Anaesthetic today, very nervous
Hi all, I'm going for a
hysteroscopy
today to remove polyps and general investigation and I'm so nervous, not about the procedure but about the anaesthetic itself.

I now have an answer but it's turned into a chronic pain syndrome
I also had a
hysteroscopy
and tubal latency test on the same day, they found. a fibroid and tubes were clear and they removed some endo from the pouch of Douglas. But now I'm wary about the time left between the endo growing back and having fertility drugs to conceive.

Diagnosed with mild Endo yesterday after a Hysteroscopy but im not sure my symptoms coincide with the diagnosis????
after having a laproscopy, following pelvic pain, dizziness, missed or light periods and a distended gut, I had a
Hysteroscopy
yesterday to remove a polyp but was told, after the anaesthetic that it had come away itself but they have discovered some signs of mild endo but as my symptoms were not consistent

Negative ultra sound
My gyno is doing a lap and a
hysteroscopy
in three weeks, but I was under the impression endo didn't show up on ultrasounds. I am just panicked as have been in constant pain for a year now, and only got referred to gyno a month ago as gp just didn't know what was wrong with me.

Been told I am colic???
I have had a laparoscopy and
hysteroscopy
in November and although the
hysteroscopy
came up clear the laparoscopy showed adhesions on both my ovaries and extensive scarring which they put down to either old endometriosis or PID.

Marina coil. Can anyone advise me please the pros & cons of this. I saw the surgeon for the first time on Monday & she is booking me in.
I will have
hysteroscopy
& laparoscopy under general & they will put a coil in. She didn't explain anything or give me any advice . Also when I asked about dealing with the pain she just said "at your age you will have been through the worst" . I'm 44.

Couldn't get to my right endometrioma, due to it being stuck!!
Just thought I would write a blog, whilst sitting here recovering from my Laparoscopy and
Hysteroscopy
. I had my surgery yesterday, and it was my first one. Wasn't as bad as I thought pain wise, but keeping dosed up on pain killers! My surgeon was supposed to drain both of my endometriomas.

Just been diagnosed with endo
I'm 21 and was diagnosed with endometriosis when I had an emergency appendectomy 2 weeks ago, I saw a gynae in december 2012 and they suspected I might have endo but referred me for a
hysteroscopy
that I didn't end up having as I slipped through the net.

Have I got Endometriosis?
Latest procedure was
Hysteroscopy
....biopsy of Endometrium....unbelievable pain. How can one differentiate these symptoms from others? E.g I have bilateral cysts one of which is haemorrhalgic. Would these cause this much pain?
