Hysterectomy on nhs
Hi I’m new to this platform but wanted to know if anyone had any tips on how they went about requesting a
hysterectomy
from their gp? I’m aware this may be unlikely as I’m only 18 but all the treatment I’ve been given hasn’t helped my pain much.

Hysterectomy
Hi, I’m booked in for a
hysterectomy
next month. Over the past 18 months I’ve had 2 laparoscopies due to cysts, and I also had one ovary removed.

13 days post op 😁
Hi all, So I'm now 13 days post full
hysterectomy
and removal of endo and apart from a sore buttock I'm feeling the best I've felt in a long time 🥳 I cant believe what a difference it's made, I'm still taking the odd paracetamol and blood thinners (only 2wks left of them!)

Almost 9 weeks post hysterectomy- need a whinge!!
I’ll also start with saying if you are considering a
hysterectomy
, please don’t let this post put you off! I had a total
hysterectomy
8.5 weeks ago and in the whole I’m doing good. Already walking 2 miles every morning and back to work part time. I’m 45 and decided everything should go.

Gallbladder removal, total

Follow-up post lap appointment
He said the only way to treat it is
hysterectomy
or controlling symptoms (as well as endo symptoms) using the pill or ironically getting pregnant! Has anyone else been diagnosed with this? I feel like I’ve had virtually no information on this and feel very worried about it.

Another Laparoscopy? Help!
either if IVF doesn't work or we've just had a child to do a complete
hysterectomy
as that means we don't need to worry about post surgery scar tissue. He's said it's entirely up to us what we want to do.

How do you get independent medical advice!
And even after a
hysterectomy
I will still never be cured, and so bad, my hrt is limited! Anyway, I’ve kicked off royally! First I was told my surgery was going to be within 12 months! Then minimum 2 years! And I’ve watched people in less severe state than me get theirs within months!

Headaches post hysterectomy
I’m just 4 weeks post total
hysterectomy
(ovaries removed) and have started to experience bad headaches. Has anyone else experienced similar? I’ve spent roughly 3 years (on and off) in medical menopause with prostap and tibilone hrt previously and did have the odd one.

Trouble with pessary
I have severe transvaginal mesh complications and have had a complete
hysterectomy
. My issue is that it seems to be out slightly when I do my business. Google reports state it should sit behind the public bone. It does not. I don't notice it most of the time.

Anyone else having a hysterectomy soon?
So I'm due into hospital on Monday for a complete
hysterectomy
. I've had 2 cesareans so I think I have a pretty good idea what recovery will be like. Praying that this will take the pain away.

HRT Following hysterectomy
Hi, I’ve recently had total
hysterectomy
and oophorectomy with extensive excision of endo. I’ve started HRT (oestrogen gel & progesterone tablets) but I’m experiencing pain in my lower back and legs like I used to get with endo, has anybody else experienced this, and if so how did you manage it?

Dienogest or Hysterectomy?
My surgeon wants me to at least try dienogest but in my head I feel, if I'm going to go on a contraceptive (i know its not Registered in the UK as one) I may as well just have a
hysterectomy
now as ultimately that's where im headed.
