Role of Estrogen in Androgen-Induced PCa in NBL Rats.
There are studies by others going back as far as 30 years where Noble rats were given testosterone [T] & estradiol [E2] to induce prostatic
hyperplasia
, etc. What's new about this study? "Androgens are thought to cause prostate cancer, but the underlying mechanisms are unclear.

Up and Down, Back and Forth, Conflicting PCa history. Will value all opinions re future treatment. TYIA!
In a post on Feb. 3, which was incomplete regarding my husband’s 4.5 year history with diagnosed PCa, I replied to George71 (his post entitled, “SABR-COMET-10 trial that radiates up to 10 lesions”) that my husband and I are struggling as George71 is with the decision of how/when to proceed with (husband's

Hi - my latest endoscopy biopsy revealed I now have Neuroendocrine cell

Hello
Finally we decided to have a biopsy which had given a tentative diagnosis of Nodular Regenerative
Hyperplasia
- pretty rare I understand, not curable and unless a cause is found progressive. Ultimately Portal Hypertension is the risk.

Hemithyroidectomy and levels
I'm now about 5 weeks post op from a hemithyroidectomy dueto a benign growth '
hyperplasia
' measuring a sizable 60x70x40mm. It had been growing for several years, we'd been keeping an eye on it but it had gotten so big I had compression symptoms, so it had to go.

GnRH drugs & HRT before Hysterectomy
He’s concerned about
hyperplasia
& the complex cysts, so it’s time for it all to go. He wants to put me on HRT too during this time but I know I need to be careful with oestrogen. I’ve been reading and I’m just so confused as to what is the best type to take?

Zytiga or Docetaxel ??
I posted here in early August that my PSA had fallen to 2.33 from 16.51 in January, after 38 fractions of radiation + Cassodex + Eligard. In early October, my PSA has risen to 8.7 and a PSMA test has indicated several extra mets to bones and left shoulder. A small nodule in the left lung as well.

We observed a strong nuclear immunoreactivity for STAT3 and STAT5A in 93% (n=14/15) and 80% (n=12/15) of CRPC cases, respectively, compared with benign prostatic
hyperplasia
(BPH). We demonstrated that PC cells express varying levels of STAT3 and STAT5A transcripts.

Got to lose weight to help to health problems
Also recently been diagnosed as having Endometrial
Hyperplasia
(not Atypical). I am on Norethisterone for this. One thing the doctor said weigh loss would be a good thing to do. I will have another Biopsy in 6 months to check the situation of the lining of the womb whether the tablets have helped.
