Liver tumours
Hi I have three tumours on my liver, one is thought to be a focal nodular
hyperplasia
and the other two haven't been identified. I'm in constant pain, which is in the upper right side of abdomen and I have pain under my right shoulder blade.

Lupron was helpful
It was quite effective in not only reducing PSA levels (to 0.7 from 23.73) but also in decreasing prostate
hyperplasia
. My urinary flow was improved within two week of Lupron injection. I also started on Zytiga about two months ago at a reduced dose of 500 mg +1 tablet of prednisone.

What are your symptoms of regenerative nodular hyperplasia and is it worth doing a CT scan?
Wanted to ask of those who were diagnonsed with RNH what you symptoms were and how it was eventually diagnosed (and whether you went through a battery of tests, all showing normal liver function)? It appears this has a lot of cirrhosis symptoms but is very difficult to diagnose (only a specialised form

The Warburg Effect [an increase in the rate of glucose uptake and preferential production of lactate, even in the presence of oxygen.]
We retrospectively analyzed data from 390 patients with PCa or benign prostatic
hyperplasia
(BPH) at the Department of Urology, University of Catania. Immunohistochemical slides were evaluated for the expression of proteins related to glucose and lipidic metabolism.

Recent deterioration
I have an autoimmune liver disease called Nodular Regenerative
Hyperplasia
. This is caused by a primary immune condition called Common Variable Immune Deficiency. I have deteriorated slowly over 10 years and the phrase “ advanced liver disease” was used for the first time in September.

Update – PV, lung carcinoid tumor and bone marrow abnormalities
A consultation with a National Orthopaedic Hospital concluded these were ‘non aggressive lesions such as focal nodular marrow
hyperplasia
’. I was very, very relieved to hear they were not malignant.

Active Surveillance Still a Good Option?
The results of the latest one was similar to the other 2: IMPRESSION: Benign prostatic

with peripheral zone scarring. PI-RADS2. Elevated PSA density, increased from prior study. Continued follow-up is recommended if repeat biopsy is not elected.

Oleic acid(OA), increases proliferation of highly malignant PC3 & DU145 PCa cells.Docetaxel cytotoxic action is significantly reduced by OA.
Of relevance, we found that FFA1/GPR40 is significantly overexpressed in tissue specimens of PCa, compared to benign prostatic
hyperplasia
tissues, at both mRNA and protein expression level, analyzed by Real Time RT-PCR and immunofluorescence experiments, respectively.

Stearic Acid & Oleic Acid
In a 2002 Greek study: "Cancer patients had reduced prostate tissue stearic to oleic acid ratios and stearic acid levels as opposed to
hyperplasia
patients." [3] From a 2004 US study: "Our research study demonstrated a lower level of stearic acid and an increased content of oleic acid in RBC of cancer

Dx of ET vs PV
easy to read details: From one source a few less known criteria that are relevant to ET (items that are more than "may be"): BMB results: -Approximately 90% of patients with essential thrombocytosis show an increase in bone marrow cellularity (other reports have this less often) -Megakaryocytic
