I have been on Lupron for about seven months. It was quite effective in not only reducing PSA levels (to 0.7 from 23.73) but also in decreasing prostate hyperplasia. My urinary flow was improved within two week of Lupron injection.
I also started on Zytiga about two months ago at a reduced dose of 500 mg +1 tablet of prednisone. Both Lupron and Zytiga have brought my PSA and Testosterone to 0.1 and <3, respectively. I was off Zytiga for two weeks because of pain in the scrotum, and weight gain (6 lb). especially in the abdomienal area. I am just restarting it again today.
Meanwhile, I am considering radiation to kill the PC cells. My OC thinks that I am responding well to treatment. What do you think? Any suggestions, guys out there? Love you all!!

So, you have been treated with ADT without removing prostate? That is odd, but it seems to be reducing the cancer, or at least its growth. I suspect something is wrong in your treatment. Maybe somebody doesn't know what they are doing. I had radiation to prostate (no surgery) followed by ADT to control metastases, years later.
Bass-ackwards? I dunno but it might work. Maybe all the books are wrong.
What did your MRI and PSMA-PET/CT scans show? Is your PCa metastatic? Oligometastatic? If so, that is why your prostate was not removed. I am oligometastatic and my RO gave me IMRT VMAT RT. You should look up trials like CHAARTED, PEACE-1, also triplet therapy... Also get a DEX scan ASAP. I am using acronyms to spur you to be informed enough to talk intelligently with your MO and RO. If you just wander in without organized fact-based notes doctors are apt to dismiss you. If you don't ask for a DEX scan most MO's won't either.
