What I wish I had known (and what I have learnt through trial and error!)
Asthma is a learning curve so here’s what I wish I had known from the beginning! In no particular order: 1. Asthma is different for everyone. Obvious now, but starting out to me asthma was asthma - a blue pump fixed it and a brown pump prevented it. Now I know all the different types and severity, and

Seriously can my body just stop!
If it’s not one thing it’s a-bloody-nother In hospital because of asthma and infection. Get to ward and it seems ok tho can’t sleep cause of drugs and the fact my infection seems to have travelled to my sinuses too 🤧😣. At 4.30am my body decide that nows the ideal time to swell up my lips, give me hives

The chaos of an understaffed over-run hospital
Hi I have the utmost respect for my local hospital staff (docs and nurses) 😊 and the biggest ball of anger to the nhs funding cuts from the government 😤. For 5 hours yesterday evening I witnessed staff having to cover too many patients, leading to delays and misplaced notes, causing stressed staff

Anyone take Greek HC (IFET)?
I would like to hear from anyone who takes Greek hydrocortisone called I.F.E.T on the box. I want to know if it is generally as good as the brand Cortef which I am unable to find. Thanks in advance.

Hypothyroid. Increase Iron? New blood test results.
I am a 35 year old male. 72 kg, 6 ft. Hypothyroid for at least 15 years, probably most of my life but didn't know it. Living in New Zealand. This is a long post, but in a nutshell, I'm taking Slow Release T3 (SRT3), but it is not working as expected. I think I need to improve how cells use it, specifically

Has anyone recovered from adrenal deficiency?
I have come off prednisolone gradually on a couple of occasions. The last time I had a synachen test and was put on a small dose of hydra cortisone 10mg as the results showed I wasn’t producing enough natural steroid. After being on it for 2 years and feeling ok I wanted to revisit coming off steroids

Hypothyroid - best set of blood tests to get
I am hypothyroid and am currently on Slow Release T3. It seems I can't tolerate too much T3 and at lower levels I experience a lot of hypo symptoms. I am also supplementing with Fludrocortisone to increase my aldestorone levels and some hydrocortisone to try to have more T3 enter my cells. I have tested

Prednisolone diary 13 - what do I know?
Entry 12 was written a week after going up to 24mg of methyl prednisolone. It left me feeling much improved in mood and energy levels, and optimistic that we had found a solution to my 3 year history of increasing fatigue, incapacity and daily flushes and shaking. Perhaps, I thought, those symptoms were

Adrenal Saliva Tests back.
Hi, I have the test results back. I don't know if being on Hydrocortisone or Valium has effected them. (I have only been on 20mgs of HC a day until then.) I also did not take anything at all that day. I have been having these adrenaline rushes since crashing on the T3 only 3 weeks ago. I can see that

T3 only 30mcgs and Hydrocortisone 30mcgs. Help please?
I just spent the last few days in hospital as my BP hit amazing heights. Average 190/110. I was in the pharmacy when I had a severe spike and became confused and weird. The pharmacist called the ambulance. I rang the Primary Aldosteronism Speicalist's Nurse, who said to come to their hospital. Whilst
