MS and Pain
Hello! I am curious and wonder how many people, like myself, get fairly unbearable pain at times. Mine is especially in my legs. I take Hydrocodone every six hours. I haven't known of others who also take a narcotic, hence my asking the community. FYI: I am on the highest dose. I really do not

Managing RLS through hip surgery
Any thoughts on managing RLS through hip surgery are needed. I’ve recently reduced my Neupro patch from 3mg to 1mg, and plan to slowly reduce that with cutting it by 1/4mg but need to time that after an iron infusion which I need about every three months. Also I think surgery should be timed a few weeks

Questioning modern cancer treatment.
Hello, I have kept my cancer treatment to a personal basis sharing it only with some family and friends. Almost 7 years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 4, Prostate Cancer and a Gleason Score 9, positive margin. As most, I went through prostate biopsies, the radical robotic proctectomy, radiation treatment

My Orchiectomy Adventure
Thought I might record my orchiectomy experience for anyone that might be considering it. My MO was always open to the idea but not totally supportive of it. After my last lab showed an increasing PSA while on both Eligard and Abiraterone he told me he 100% supported it. I already had an appointment

Xofigo - Finished
Good morning everyone. After a 1 month delay between 4&5 we finished the last dose on Friday. I was really surprised they gave it to me. My WBC was 1.8, ANC .6 and platelets at 42. The RO said he spoke with my MO and they both agreed since it was the last one to finish. I’ll find out Wednesday what my

I am a 70 yo male that was diagnosed with PMR in January of this year. Started on 20 mg prednisone and currently on my third week at 8 mg. Sunday morning I blew off the leaves in my driveway with a backpack blower. About 30 minutes later I had some light to medium chest pain and sweat for about a

Pain control and depression
I have had PMR for 10 years. I am on 5 mg of Prednisone. I haven't ever gone into complete remission. My symptoms now are classic- hip and shoulder pain with fatigue. I am taking low dose hydrocodone. I am depressed and frustrated because I never feel better. I have also just been diagnosed with

Adding good news
Hi all. I thought I would pop in and share some good news. I have refused to take all the drugs that have been offered to me. But even experimentation with lower levels of hydrocodone and OxyContin have been uncomfortable enough that I refused to go in the opioid direction. What has worked for me and

Calquence and muscle/joint pain
Hi all, After a week on Calquence, my hubs is in excruciating pain - from the hips down. Can barely walk, can't sleep, etc. The pharmacist thinks this is a side effect from the Calquence. He's been taking hydrocodone left over from a procedure and I'm applying BioFreeze, which sort of takes the edge

Opiate boost for RLS?
It’s me again… the new mom who is trying like hell to get her RLS under control. I have a weird question for those of you know might know about these things in an “unofficial” way. I spoke today with my neurologist about switching to oxy from hydrocodone. She is uncomfortable with it, and so, unless

Ropinerole titration
For those of you who have weaned off ropinerole completely, how long did it take for you to feel like you were at a “baseline” of your RLS? In other words, when it was just tour “natural” symptoms as opposed to a “kickback” from dropping your dose? I have spent the last few months getting off ropinerol

Any input on Abraxane chemo?
Got any experience with Abraxane chemo? It contains taxotere but I’d get weekly injections with lesser side effects instead of monthly injections of taxotere with stronger side effects. See below. My April 7 PSA Diagnostic did not drop for the 3rd month in a row. I’ve been taking Abiraterone daily

RLS and hydrocodone
I have been taking Norco for the last 4 years and my dosage has been stable at two and a half tablets every night. This equates to a hydrocodone dose of 25 mg. Recently within the past 6 weeks my symptoms greatly worsened and now affect other parts of my body and start much earlier in the day. H is it
