Rifampin and opioid meds for chronic back pain
I ..66 year old male..have been on rifampin about a two months for latent tb. I have been taking tramadol and hydrocodone for many years for chronic back problems. I am now dealing with tremendous back pain I haven't felt for many years. I read that rifampin lessens the effect of opioid medicine. I would

still nothing working
So it’s been about 5 or 6 weeks I’ve been off of ropinarole. I’m only taking 3/300mg tablets of horizont, that’s it! I started using a new neurologist who prescribed me hydrocodone. This drug does not help restless leg in fact all it does is make one sleepy, especially during the day. So I’m not taking

Tylenol 3 with Codeine…I need a substitute…Help
I’m stage 3b and maintaining. I just had foot surgery this morning. My orthopedic surgeon consulted with my nephrologist and decided Tylenol 3 with Codeine would be best to start . If that didn’t work I could take low dose Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 10-325mg. The Tylenol 3 is making me vomit, but

Losing hope
Hi there, So I’m unsure of what to do anymore. Nothing seems to work. Currently I m getting 2-3 hours of sleep a night if I’m lucky. I’m unable to concentrate and for most of my waking hours I’m constantly moving around, even during the day. I just found out my ferritin level is 10 so I’m in the

Gabapentin
I am currently taking 5 300mg Gabapentin a day. I'm also taking 0.5 mg of pramipexole 5 times a day and hydrocodone 3 times a day which helps. Gabapentin alone didn't help me but I hope it does you.

Ache all over but stable. What to do?
I seem to be going through a stage for want of a better description that every fiber of my body aches. All of my recent tests show me as being stable including a pet and CT scan.. . I am on Faslodex shots and Xgeva every third month. I’ve been taking ibuprofen and Tylenol and it really doesn’t help.

Good covid, bad downside.
I have refractory RLS and have been taking 20 mg of hydrocodone right before bed. The symptoms actually cycle during the year with the colder months coincide with reduced symptoms. A month ago I came down with covid. I was really sick for about a week and it took me another week to test negative. I took

Iron Infusion in the U.S.
Hello wise RLS colleagues!Has anyone had Medicare pay for an iron infusion for their RLS? I meet the RLS guidelines for iron infusion, but I have been told that Medicare will not cover it because I am not anemic. If it was covered, can you share with me what code was used? I have had RLS for 20 years

pain management
I’m curious what fellow warriors daily pain management looks like. In the past 8-12 weeks the increase in pain is noticeable. Previously I was walking daily and able to work. Now it’s a quick walk with the dogs in the morning and that’s all I can manage. Aleve did help but now I’m using hydrocodone to

Introduction and Preface to Comments
Hi, All. My first post. For several months, I've been reading your comments and empathizing with those who have suffered with this condition. To the extent that there is anything that may be unique to my circumstance, it may be the volume of medical experts with whom I have consulted and by whom

Opioids, narcotics, benzos
Has anyone had issues recently with doctors in the USA (specifically Michigan) not wanting to prescribe opiods, narcotics, benzos. Had my pregabalin (narcotic) refilled and had to sign a ridiculous drug contract stating (and these are only a few) I would reframe from alcohol and cannabis. Cannot receive

works 4 me
the respiratory nurse suggested I use it for clearing my chest. It worked straight away. 375mg 4x a day. 2-3 days later, and buckets of phlegm 😁 all good. I use it when I need to and it works well for me. Like all things copd, it’ll work with some but not with others. I was on guaifenesin (lemsip)

Another week of complete agony
Over the past couple months I have had 3 episodes of extreme pain that last 2-3 days and they magically go away as fast as the came. The pain is most always in areas where I have bone mets, so I don't know if it is directly because of the mets, or maybe caused by Lupron and/or Zytiga. This past Tuesday

Lu-177 Second time around
Hey fellow warriors and caregivers. My husband just got his first dose of Lu-177 (Pluvicto) or as my husband call's it (Pluto). He had the full 6 doses in the Vision Trial 3 years ago with an excellent response. But, as time went by, the cancer came back again and no more treatments were available for

Headaches
Hello, I keep getting really bad headaches. They're only on the left hemisphere, but they're severe. I've tried hydrocodone 10-325 and Butalbital but they don't make the headache go away. I'm seeing my Nephrologist tomorrow for a scheduled appointment. My last gfr was 14. It seems the headaches are related
