My SCT journey continues
Hi all, not posted for a while but I am now at day+33 and finally starting to feel a bit normal again. I had very bad mucositis following sct and then problems with fluid retention due to all the IVs, mainly tpn as the ng feeding tube didn't stay in. Anyway looks like I'm going home on Friday so that's

Has anyone had Fluanxol while being pregnant?
I suffer from anxiety and sometimes panic attacks. I started on Sertraline and now I’m taking 100mg. The doctor also gave me Fluanxol to give it a boost. I stopped Fluanxol and I’m feeling very anxious again and sometimes panic attacks. I think I might be pregnant as we tried for a baby last week. I

Erleada or Xtandi vs Seizure Risk
I have had 3 unobserved and undiagnosed seizures, and want to add an ARI to my Orgovyx. My conservative MO says I do not need an ARI. My aggressive urologist has prescribed Erleada as the best ARI, and is against Xtandi. I am in a quandary over what to do. I am afraid of Erleada because "patients

16cm Fibroid
Hi all, I have just had a phone call from my doctor advising I have a large mass in my pelvic, 16cm which looks like a fibroid. I’ve had pain and bloating for the last few months which is why I had the scan. It’s caused me a lot of worry as the doctor said ‘they think it’s a fibroid’ so now I’m googling

End of the road for PBS-available treaments for me.
Hi. I live in Adelaide, Australia and I'm anxious about possible treatments now. I was diagnosed at the end of 2016. Starting in 2019 I've had FCR, Nov 2022 splenomegaly and other leukemia symptoms so January 2023 I started on Ibrutinib, giving partial remission but with colitis side effects. Sept

does anyone out there have histamine intolerance?
hi I’ve just changed from hydroxicarbamide to interferon. Seems ok, fingers crossed, but I also have histamine intolerance amd the absence of Hydroxicarbamide seems to be allowing my mast cells to have a high old time churning out histamine. Has anyone else experienced this? Louise

Liquid Biopsy
Has anyone had experience with having a Liquid Biopsy done? It is a blood test that can identify cells in the body which may show cancer, then enabling doctors to target therapies that can help. It’s recently been approved by FDA, so insurance can pay. I just had this done at Stanford Hospital (California

CA 27.29 Blood test
My new oncologist wants to add a new tumor marker test to my regular tests for CA15 and CEA. I know these guys all have widely varying ideas on which ones - if any - mean anything. So just looking to see if you all have any experience with this. My Ca15 has always been an accurate indicator and predictor

Colostomy
I was diagnosed with Ovarian ca IVa involving the omentum and liver tumors in September 2023. Since then, have undergone 6 cycles of chemo (avastin, Carboplatin, taxol). Now, am anticipating for surgery on Feb 27 ( in 3 weeks). My surgery told me there’s a 50/50 chance I will need colostomy ( tumor

Swollen lymph node in my neck & armpit
I now have a swollen lymph node near my collarbone on my neck which is the size of a hard boiled egg and one under my armpit on the same side which is duck egg size. I’ve had three courses of chemo over the years: FCR, twice and not sure what the third dose was (CVR?) though it didn’t work anyway. 4

Blood biopsy
My last PET scan showed progression in my T1, manumbrium (top part of the sternum) and in my pelvis. My oncologist ordered a blood biopsy and the results show that there is no treatment for my mutations. So I had 5 sessions of radiation, each time treating all 3 of my lesions. She is keeping me on

Lansoprazole /Prolia
In my Sunday newspaper today the usual GP column has a question put to the GP about Lansoprazole use. Following a mini stroke this lady was put on various tablets one of which was Lansoprazole, and she developed pains in her legs and hips, had a scan and was told she had early-stage osteoporosis. She
