Bronchoscopie advice
Hello everyone I was recently due to have a bronchoscopie but cancelled at the last minute. I was told that I would have a local anesthetic in my nose and that they would be working on my lungs for 15 minutes. The idea of someone playing around in my lungs for 15 minutes whilst I was awake was very

Hello all, an update my husband has cirrhosis NAL and 2 tumours were found. He had the above procedure a few weeks ago and good news yesterday the procedure has been successful, no cancer lighting up. Now it’s regular CT/MRI. To all of you awaiting this procedure I truly hope you have this outcome

How long did it take you to get diagnosed?
Do you think your diagnosis of lung cancer was delayed in some way? Did it take longer than you expected to get a diagnosis and be treated? We are a group of researchers at RAND, a nonprofit nonpartisan research institution, leading a study to learn more about why and how delays in diagnosing lung

Just a quick question.
Hi everyone and thanks for all your help so far. As the chemo has now stopped working for Martin we are looking for any other options that might be available to give him more time. His MO has organised a liquid biopsy to see if there are any mutations that could be treated, which might help. We

CC260 selective PI5P4Kα and PI5P4Kβ inhibitor
Hii I was going through some article regarding prostate cancer and found that some CC260 , a drug that attacks PI5P4Kα is under research . Many cases of prostate cancer can be treated through treatments that lower testosterone and other male sex hormones, but about 10–20% of prostate cancer cases

Dad's PSA now 1800..nothing works..Is this the end??
Hey all, It pains me to write this as I'm probably scared to hear the truth. I've posted a few times, but this time, it's different. Dad was in hospital for a spinal cord compression - new activity on c3, new mets to spine and PSA soaring to 1800. Those dreaded words, "all options have been exhausted

I’ve been pretty rubbish with compliance of my levothyroxine up until 12 months ago when I made a concerted effort to take every day. Since then I have had significant health problems but normal TSH and free T4. My symptoms have been allergic in nature with angioedema of the airway, hives and joint pain

Coronary spasm and face/neck numbness
I was diagnosed with coronary spasm earlier this year with the spasm bringing about a heart attack. Coronary spasm was diagnosed during the angiogram. After several months the medications seemed to be settling down with the spasms diminishing once I had been prescribed Isosorbide Mononitrate. But

Truqap update
I persuaded my onc to start me on this new drug in April. Since starting I have had great results. My first set of labs was great, so we backed off the amount of drug due to diarrhea. I had one set back on my 2nd blood tests but adjusted my meds and am back to lower values on tumor markers. My

Normal CA-125
I am going in for a total hysterectomy on the 25th They suspect a Granulosa Cell Tumour due the presence of a mass on my ovary and thickened womb lining However my CA-125 is in the ‘normal’ range, I am just curious if others received a DX with normal CA-125? I am ready for whatever comes but just

Trigger for PMR
Is the forum aware that a tumour or similar was the trigger for PMR in someone? My rheumatologist sent me for tumour screening, a lung X-ray and a colonoscopy. Or is the cause mostly unknown?

Radiation Confusion- please help clarify
Referred to and met with radiation oncologist because my PC is active again after almost 3 years. This will be my first experience with radiation. It was explained and I thought I understood but am now completely confused - scans (PSMA, MRI, CT and bone scan) showed activity in prostate, SV, and one
